Great hotel, centrally located. Staff were ecellent, hotel was spotlessly clean. room was very comfortable. No noise inside or outside the hotel. Great value for money. Free overnight parking, although only 2 hours allowed during the day with a 2 hour no return policy implemented by car park owner.

I have stayed here many times. The location is excellent and easy to find. Rooms are clean and offer everything you want for an overnight stay. It is convenient for shops and restaurants and Witherspoons is just below. Travelodge have certainly upgraded their hotels.

We stayed here on the way home from a day in Monsal Head. The hotel is perfectly placed in Glossop. Our room was at the back and was quiet. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfy. There is a Wetherspoons next door which is the nicest one we've ever been in. The following day we drove 10 minutes to the Sett Trail and did an amazing walk, very high but got fantastic views.

This hotel is in a good location for exploring the peaks the one drawback for us was the car parking having to move the car at 10:00am if we needed to stay longer in the room. The Staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are a good size. I would be careful on leaving the some of the rooms as there are some of the old mills pillars sited very close to the doors. All in all good cheap rooms in a good location with excellent staff.

Went to Glossop to see a concert. The Travelodge is in the heart of Glossop, minutes from the train station, if trickily difficult to find (easy to see from the station, but progressively more difficult as you get closer (pass Wetherspoon's and it's around the corner from the Edinburgh Woolen Mill). Rooms were basic, but had everything you needed (apart from a hairdryer, though we didn't ask the front desk if one was available). Clean, comfortable bed, nice shower, and windows that opened. Reception staff were helpful, and recommended a lovely restaurant. Hotel was right in the centre of Glossop, which meant that the walk to the restaurant and concert was pleasant and short. Check-out was fine. Built in an old Mill, so has some character - we stayed in a room overlooking a stream, and it was lovely with the window open listening to the stream as we fell asleep. Would go again.

Room was modern and clean but noisy. Travelodge have done a good job converting an old brownstone industrial building into comfortable modern accommodation right in the centre of Glossop. We have stayed here before on the 2nd floor and our room was quiet. This time our 1st floor room No 108 was situated over Weatherspoons Pub, and we heard what sounded like a swing door banging every minute or so. We also had mechanical noise from outside which was a fan going constantly, possibly a refrigeration unit. On the plus side we had a pleasant outlook over a stream and trees, the room was basic but well fitted out. Ideal for a short stay. Shame about the noise.

Not a bad hotel but be warned about the car parking. Although it is free this is only for 2 hours and so if you arrive to check in at 3pm you have to be prepared to move your car after 2 hours and then move it back at 6pm to get free parking overnight. You then have to move it again at 10.00 am the following morning as the car park attendants are very keen (even on a Sunday morning!). I know that Travelodge don't own the car park and there is a note on their website but this was not at all clear. Thankfully the receptionist told me about the problems and I was able to move the car but this meant we had to pay elsewhere whereas if I had had prior warning I could have made alternative arrangements.
