“Girls weekend away”
Reviewed 3 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We came here last weekend for my sisters hen weekend.
There were 10 of us plus a 2 year old!
The house is so amazing from the moment you walk through the door!
The views from the lounge are spectacular! Eating breakfast looking out over the countryside is just wonderful!

We couldn't get a phone signal but this was actually really lovely as we spent quality and fun time together.

The house is fully equipped with everything you need. Even plastic wine glasses etc

The bathrooms and bedrooms are wonderful and the hot tub was fantastic! It was hail stoning but we still went in it :)

I would definately recommend to any group of people wanting a relaxing/ fun weekend away.

“Wonderful weekend with friends”
Reviewed 30 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Perfect location to meet up with our friends from Yorkshire. Five couples and we had plenty of room. There was enough pots, pans, Cutlery , cups etc for 10 people. Great views towards the Peak District and a lovely walk from the cottage. Hot tub was good, nice and warm on a cool evening. The only issue was the heating didn't come on the first morning but a quick text to the owners and after we had come back from our walk it had been sorted. There are a couple of pubs within walking distance. Would certainly recommend this property.

“Fantastic experience all round!”
Reviewed 30 January 2015 for a stay in November 2014

We stayed at this property for a long weekend in late November 2014. Although it sleeps far more than our party required, it was perfect for our needs. 3 couples, 4 children ranging from 5 months to 17 years old. Although I wasn't the person who booked the property, all correspondence was shared with the group which came in very handy later on.....

The property itself was spotlessly clean. All bedrooms were spacious and contemporary and there was plenty of spare linen, blankets, etc in the cupboards if you needed extra pillows. The three bath/shower rooms were also well stocked with towels.

As for the living area; the pool table, table football and hot tub were all favourites over the extended weekend. When the hot tub looked a little low on water, one call to the owners and it was filled up and ready by the time we had arrived back from the local pub.

The kitchen and living space has everything that a family or larger group of people would need. The views from these spaces were stunning.

If you didn't fancy cooking then the village hosts a couple of pubs. We chose to have our Sunday lunch in the Angel which is approx one mile (20 min walk with children!) from the property. Again faultless.

I would recommend this property without any reservations, we had an outstanding experience here...... The owner even came to meet me with my camera that I had left there.... First class!

“Amazing house, great views, a hiker's heaven.”
Reviewed 24 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

The Old Robin's Hood is the perfect place for a family gathering. We hired the house for my 50th birthday and had the best birthday celebration ever. Lots of room for the men to enjoy playing pool and table football and the ladies to catch up and enjoy a glass of champagne. The cottage was really warm, cosy and well equipped, there were lots of squeals of delight when we arrived. We had snow which added to the excitement and made a snow man in the garden. The Angel in the village did excellent food and a must for a real treat is Fischers restaurant at Baslow Hall. Lots of walking and then a dip in the hot tub, you really can't ask for more. We'll definitely be back.

“Brilliant New Year Celebrations at Old Robin Hood”

This was our 3rd time at Old Robin Hood celebrating the new year, we love the house as it's great for large groups with spacious rooms and an excellent games area for the children. The hot tub is fantastic and the views are lovely. Aoife and her family are brilliant always promptly replying to our queries/requests. A brilliant time was had by all families and to top it all we arrived to snow which stayed with us for a few days.

“Fantastic Christmas”
Reviewed 3 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

I would just like to thank the owners who were very helpful while we were there. They went out there way to make sure we had everything we needed. We all had a fantastic time with plenty of space so we didn't feel under everyone toes. The pool table and the hot tub went down a treat x the views are amazing and we was lucky enough to have snow on boxing day which made it extra special.

We all said we would love to come back again.

Highly recommended.

“A very enjoyable weekend.”
Reviewed 2 November 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Nine of us (old, young and in the middle) stayed at the Old Robin Hood for two nights to celebrate our parents 80th birthdays. The views from the lounge were spectacular. The hot tub was a bit of luxury and the pool table and table football were well used. There was plenty of room, lovely comfy sofas and a wood burning stove. We visited Bakewell and the Longshaw estate for a walk and a coffee. Kitchen was large and well equipped. Cottage was warm - we hope to return in the future. Well done and thank you Aoife.
