“Excellent base to discover the Peak”

We stayed for two weeks in Primrose Cottage Tideswell. It appeared to be an ideal place to stay: shops in the village providing all you need, largers shops in Buxton only 20 min. drive, beautiful area for walking and/or cycling. Plenty of space in the cottage, kitchen nicely equipped, comfortable beds. No wifi, but lots of information in leaflets and also a detailed map of the southern Peak was available!
Drawbacks: not properly cleaned, no shower, no proper garden furniture.

“Amazing Value.”

We just had a lovely 4 night stay at Primrose Cottage. Great Location so close to the main part of town, lots of alley ways and streets to explore. Easy parking straight outside of the house. Lovely new kitchen. large dining area and comfortable couch and chairs in lounge. Large bedroom upstairs (2nd floor) with two single beds and a couch, my daughter thought she was a princess. Main bedroom large and comfortable, 3rd bedroom very small but our son did not mind. No shower but good bath. No WiFi but we knew that so not a problem. Communication with owner excellent. Value for money amazing. Would totally recommend.

For the money its amazing value, very spacious( The loft room is brilliant), well equipped, and well located. No wi-fi in the cottage or 3g signal in the village. But an internet detox done none of us any harm and this is a minor thing compared to the positives of staying here. We have rented many cottages over the years but none have been such great value for money.Would definately recommend.

“Very lovely character cottage”

We spent a very pleasant 3 nights at this cottage and were very happy with our stay. It is nicely decorated and comfortably furnished. The large bed is extremely comfortable and very difficult to prise yourself out of! Our 2 daughters were very happy with their converted loft twin room.

The stairs are very steep so I would not recommend for very young children or anybody with mobility difficulties. However the cottage is well equipped for all eventualities and we would certainly recommend to others.

The owner is very helpful and pleasant and it was easy to arrange collection of the keys.

“Great location, fantastic house!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

A wonderful stay here with friends for my birthday weekend. The house was next door to a lovely pub and some gret walks directly from the door. Great dining room with the open kitchen attached and bedrooms on 2 floors. Excellent value for money, would definitely recommend it!! Thanks Joanna

“Great Location in the heart of Tideswell”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Just returned from a lovely easter weekend at Primrose Cottage and can safely say we would recommend the cottage.
From the initial booking, the owners were very friendly and communication was great. We received detailed directions and lots of useful information a few weeks before departure which really helped. On arrival the cottage was welcoming, with plenty of space for all the family and was really well equipped too for self catering.
The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of the village just next door to a great little pub and within walking distance of a handful of other pubs, a couple of cafes and ice cream shops and the local co-op. It was really easy to get around with Bakewell and Buxton both within a twenty minute drive and plenty of walks on offer from the cottage too.
If you're looking for a relaxing break in Derbyshire then you won't go far wrong with Primrose Cottage.
