We stayed here for a long weekend, after a few problems getting there sat have took us to wrong Rd, the cottage is in the middle of nowhere, well worth it when we got to the cottage, it's a lovely cute little place, everything you wanted was there, it was so peaceful and quiet.
After a stressful few months this was just what the doctor ordered. Would definitely recommend to everybody.

I must confess that we are difficult to find in the dark without the help of sat nav, I'm so glad that you persevered.

A lovely homely cottage, with modern touches and original features. Compact but perfectly formed, hidden up in the peaceful hills with stunning views. Being allowed to take our dog made it even better, the peak district is so canine friendly, with any pubs and shops allowing them in. Only two points future bookers should know the roads are very countryside; narrow and steep and the garden is not fully secure for dog use.

“Beautiful cottage in tranquil location”

My partner and I spent 6 nights at Spout Barn Cottage and had a fantastic time. It's located in the countryside and has very beautiful views with only the sound of the countryside around you. The conversion has been done very well and has a modern feel about it with plenty of space. Loved the huuuge round bed and drench shower over the bath. Everything you could want in a holiday home. The owner was very helpful but didn't intrude on us. Plenty of things to do and places to visit around the area and our miniature schnauzer loved all the new walks he went on. Would definately recommend the cottage if you want somewhere to chill out.

Exactly as it looks... Remote and picturesque. Friendly communication with the owner. Roads can be tricky.

“Lovely cottage in superb location”

Just returned from a week in the lovely Spout cottage. Excellently appointed and in a great location to visit Dovedale, Matlock and Bakewell to name just three towns.

If I were to request one improvement it would be a vacuum cleaner. Especially as this is a dog friendly rental. Would help us manage dog hair easier. However this is a small point against so many positives.

Dog owners should note that the garden isn't secure.

We stayed at Spout Barn for New Years and were welcomed to a lovely card and bottle of wine from the owners. The barn was in an excellent condition and made for a very comfortable, relaxing stay. The DVDs and CDs were a nice touch and the kitchen had all the equipment you could wish for.
Highly recommended!
