We visited here on a number of occasions whilst in Wirksworth for a week. By the end of the week we were greeted like locals. All the staff were excellent. The food and drinks were first rate.

Loved it!

We cycled down to Wirksworth and called in to the Coffee Drop. Wow! Why hadn't I found this gem before?
It is very well situated on the main road, behind/next to the Hope and Anchor Pub and town car park.
It is warm, clean with comfortable chairs and super art on the walls. The decor is fresh and music quietly in the background. There are free papers to read if you are interested. There is space in another room to one side so if you have a few for a meeting this would be perfect. Good quality coffee, wonderful fresh tasty home made cakes, and lovely soup. The staff are a great help. Nothing is too much trouble.
If you are wanting to find a stop for cyclists. You can park your bikes in the car park but their is no rack so lock them together then to a lamp post.
You couldn't do better than the Coffee Drop. They open 08.30 - 4.30. If you take a card and have it stamped you get a free coffee for every 10th visit.

Wirksworth is a small town/village, but the Coffee Drop turned out to be a surprisingly good option for a light lunch. Good food and excellent coffee.

I've been in here loads of times and I really like it. It's a great place to sit and work or read the papers over a coffee and a sandwich.

I don't think they particularly want to serve people more than the basics though as they don't have a card machine, and who has more than £15 on them these days?

It's a shame actually as there have been a few times I've fancied treating my sister and her two girls to lunch but I didn't have the £30 cash!

There's art in the walls, immaculate toilets, newspapers to read and proper coffee.

It's the best cafe in Wirksworth but I do wish I could spend more money there.
