Stayed 15th Feb for 1 night, wish it could have been more. Stayed in the stables, what a lovely clean, modern and comfortable room. This was a return trip as we stayed here about 8 years ago and I have to say the new owner is fab!. Down to earth and funny. Love this place and will be recommending to friends and family. Won't be leaving it as long till we visit again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Had a short overnight stop, wish it had been a week!!
The welcome we got and the accommodation was excellent.
By luck the night we stayed was pie night, and as a foodie I was amazed at the quality and choices
on offer.Even my wife was blown away by them
Sue,the landlady then proceeded to provide us with a "proper" breakfast to start the next day
We hope it will not be too long before we can return for seconds!!

This is a lovely old local pub. The fire is extremely welcoming and the staff are extremely friendly. We have eaten there a couple of times in the past and it has always been excellent. I ordered the steak on our last visit and unfortunately, it was served cold and extremely overcooked. Hopefully this was just a one off because as I said, other meals I have eaten there have been exceptional and the staff and atmosphere are lovely.

Stayed here for just one night between Christmas and New Year, having discovered the wonderful atmosphere and food whilst staying at a nearby cottage in the summer, and so glad we did! The pigsty was extremely comfortable with a hearty breakfast served at a civilised time. Sue, the landlady, works extremely hard for the benefit of her customers and has a talented chef who serves up the most delicious bar food - well cooked and plentiful! There is a good choice of real ales and wines and the bar is cosy and welcoming with a real log fire to warm yourself by after a long walk in the beautiful Peak District. Looking forward to returning in the not too distance future.

We arrived at 1pm for a light lunch.

We were greeted by a very friendly and jovial chef, who was also serving behind the bar. He happily explained the choices from the menu including a special of a hot roast pork cob.

There was also a wide range of eight homemade soups, perfect for warming the cockles on a cold day after a walk.

I chose the broccoli and Stilton which was delicious, creamy and wholesome.

All members in our party said how pleased they were with their meals including the hot roast pork, which 'melted in the mouth'.

Definitely worth a visit, the next time you are passing through Youlgreave.

We have enjoyed the Farmyard for drinks and food over recent months but this was our first time staying in one of the B&B rooms. Very comfortable, not over fussy or huge, but just what we needed. Rooms are not above kitchen or bar so a nice quiet room and well heated.
Wonderful breakfast served in a dining room, not the bar, which we found very relaxing.

Recently stayed in Youlgrave ( Youlgreave) at a local cottage, and our nearest pub was the Farmyard,. the warm welcome on arrival is a credit to all the staff who work here. Following daily walks around the area it was great to relax in front of an Open fire, Monday night had a good catch up with the locals, Tuesday's menu had lots to offer, Hunters Chicken, which was very nice. Wednesday was pie night, the Game pie was worthy of 10/10, and Thursday's curry night was full of flavour. Free Wi-fi if access via iCloud if you need to catchup online The atmosphere the landlady and her helpful bar staff create is special and is well worth a visit to this picturesque part of stunning Derbyshire, can't wait to return again soon.
