“great week in lovely cottage”
Reviewed 13 December 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Fantastic location with superb views in the characterful village of Youlgrave. The cottage was as said with everything you need for what was a lovely autumn break for the both of us and our dog.Logburner kept the place really warm, kitchen was really good size with all essential stuff.Big living room and large double bedroom.Very good bathroom.Loved the walk down to the river straight from the property with many local walks(short or long). Both pubs(George & Farmyard)sell good ales with The Farmyard being our favourite for food and atmosphere.Short drive to Bakewell for market day on a Monday and for any food or other shopping required.Would definitely stay here again if the opportunity to return to Youlgrave should arise. Thanks to the owners for keeping Overdale to such a good standard.

“Great Weekend”
Reviewed 31 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

A lovely cottage in the middle of the Derbyshire Dales. It was exactly as it had been described and despite a warmish weekend we loved using the log burner. Really useful information about what to do and where to eat locally.

We have just spent a wonderful 4 days in the lovely Overdale cottage. Very homely and clean and comfortable. We looked for dog friendly accommodation and were so pleased with this cottage as it is like 'home from home '
We enjoyed the stunning views from the cottage and the short walk to the river at the bottom of the footpath.
The village was so friendly and the food and beer at the farmyard inn and the George was spot on.
We would love to go back to this part if the dales.
So would Ash - our dog.
Thank you for a lovely mini holiday.

“Lovely,quaint cottage”
Reviewed 18 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Perfect for a quiet weekend away, Overdale Cottage is set in the lovely village of Youlgreave, great walks right on the doorstep and lots of good information was provided re walks and things to do in the local area, It's a very quaint stone cottage, excellently equipped with everything we needed, it has fabulous views over the surrounding valley and it even has a lovely terrace to catch the evening sunshine and enjoy the scenery.
The Farmyard Inn is a great local pub literally 2 mins walk down the road serving very good food and real ale.
I would highly recommend this cottage as it's perfectly placed to explore the dales, very comfortable, quiet and homely.

“Comfortable and Peaceful cottage”
Reviewed 15 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This cottage is extremely comfortable and has a very welcoming homely atmosphere. Set in a peaceful location, local walks along the river offer a superb peaceful location. I highly recommend the Farmyard Inn which is less than a ten minute walk. The staff were very friendly with delicious freshly cooked food and a good selection of beer and wine. Overall a superb break away for myself, partner and Maisie the dog. Highly recommended.
