Popped in here for late morning drinks. Very pleasant atmosphere and welcoming staff. Menus look good and layout of restaurant too.

“No room at the inn!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 September 2013

Arrived here in the middle of a thinderstorm on a Monday night in September. Got a table in the bar and asked for food....Told at 7.35pm that no more orders were being taken. Told our sob story standing there in wet clothes, still to be turned away by a grumpy member of the bar staff. Had rung earlier to ask if they did food on a Monday when they could have said they were busy/booked...Avoided the place for the rest of our stay and got a takeaway that night.

“Expensive and not worth the money”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2013

I know this area of Norfolk is expensive but was very disappointed with the meal here. My partner and I both had the Veggie options and they were both not worth the hefty price tag - the homemade lentil burger tasted like something out of a Findus packet. Shame as a nice place and nice staff.

“Friendly pub, pity we didn't have a chance to same the food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2013

We went to visit a friend on the local Poplars Holiday Park and this pub was well within walking distance - great news, a drink and NO driving!
A friendly welcome was experienced, and they Loved my BIG dog, Murphy ( a Dogue De Bordeaux), and his little 'brother' Charlie the miniature Sausage Dog!!
Beer was nice, well served, free Wi-Fi and a friendly atmosphere. We'll definitely go back in when we're in the area again, and next time we'll try the food, which smelt and looked delicious!

“Disappointed on return visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2013

We visited this restaurant when it first opened under the 'new management' and we were impressed with the food and service. However, since our last visit the dining arrangements have changed and interior dining is now very cramped. We were informed the other restaurant is now for the hotel breakfast area. We ordered two main meals, and two children's meals. Children being up to the age of 12. One of ours was aged 9, and whilst we expected a smaller portion, for £7.50 the size of the pizza was ridiculous. We queried the size (it was eaten in approx. two mouthfuls) and asked if we could have another one and pay the difference. We were told by the waitress, who was trying to be as helpful as she could under the circumstances, that 'chef said that is the size of it' basically take it or leave it. The other child portion was approx. 5 scampi with chips. Our mains were 'ok' nothing remarkable, the vegetables although 'fresh' were luke warm.
Hunter chicken was quite tasty but methinks the 'bbq sauce' was poured over the top made it.
Two scoops of ice cream for £4.20 - don't think so. Compared to other establishments inthe area I personally feel they should be more consistent with prices/portion ratio for children. Trouble is with with location the need for upping their game probably wont be necessary, and it will be yet another licence to print money for the 'tourists to B. Market.' Unfortunately, we shant be going back until I am recommended by our local resident friend again. Gastro prices for pub food - not on.
