Just returned from a weekend there and totally loved it, great set up means you can get as much or as little as you like on site, great location, great local restaurants and activities so plenty to see and do and fab lodges with amazing hot showers. Just need to find another excuse to go back again soon.

We took our children (aged 4 & 6) for a long weekend over the Easter holiday's and we all loved it and cannot recommend it highly enough - Wild Luxury was fractionally more expensive than other glamping options we looked at but with young children the little extra details like hot and cold running water/shower in the tent and a wood burning stove/oven make a difference. The site is lovely - quiet, safe for the children to explore etc with chickens to feed and eggs to collect. The farm shop is a 10 min walk, was well stocked and quite sufficient for our daily needs and it is a 30 min walk (through a nature reserve) to the beach which is beautiful and not too crowded as it is not easy to access by car so less day trippers etc. Milly who runs the camp is attentive, excellent with the children and on the ball. We would recommend the all in package as having beds made up etc makes arrival less stressful and lets you spend more time enjoying the experience with the family. We will definitely be going back for a week next time.

We have just returned from a 4 night midweek break at Wild Luxury and this was our first experience of glamping............Well what can i say, what a fab place to stay, we have 3 children, a daughter aged 5 and twins boys aged 3, they loved it! We were greeted by Milly, who was fab, who told us to get your luggage to your lodge you need to grab a brightly coloured wheelbarrow, well this was a whole new experience for me but this is where the adventure started! This is so that the site is safe for children running around. Every morning we had chickens on the step which the children loved feeding and chasing :-) There was balls and swing ball outside each lodge for the children or adults to play with and miles of countryside and orchards to run around. The inside of the lodge was like home from home,2 king beds, 2 single beds, duvets, pillows, kitchen, toilet and a hot shower! :-) And of course the log burner to cook on and heat the tent, unfortunately it was a little chilly when we were there this week but luckily we took lots of blankets and the duvets kept us very warm at night. There is also a lovely farm shop just as you arrive just in case you forget anything. There's also a play area near the farm shop as well as a yurt where you can have breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a cuppa tea. We will definitely be returning for another fabulous glamping holiday The Whitby Family, Saffron Walden

My partner and I stayed here for a long weekend with 2 teenage children in October. The booking process was effortless with excellent and prompt communication from the camp manager, Milly. All queries were dealt with promptly and efficiently. We arrived late on a rainy, windy Friday night to be greeted by Milly and a pink wheelbarrow ! Milly had kindly lit the fire and various candles in our tent which was a great start to the holiday ! We had an incredibly comprehensive explanation of key points and were then left to our own devices in the 'wild'. The only thing that was wild that night was the weather. Rain, hail, gail force winds - you name it we experienced it but the tent withstood it all. The log burner was relatively compact and what with the wind and drop in temperature that weekend, meant that it did take a while to warm up the living area but I would imagine that the tents are very warm during the rest of the year and it was all part of the experience ! Waking up in the morning provides uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. The tents are thoroughly equipped with real lather sofas, pine dining room furniture and incredibly comfy beds. The kitchen is fully stocked and everything has been carefully thought of including the use of water bottles as ice packs in the cool box. We opted for the 'All-in' package which includes linen and extra wood burner logs - well worth paying for. Plenty to do and see in the local area and there is a welcome pack with a mass of useful information in the tent (a lot of the info was provided in advance at the time of booking). What was very clear is that everything has been thought through very carefully in the design of the tents and a lot of attention has been paid to detail. Plenty of local attractions and a good choice of local eateries. Well worth a visit to the Sandringham Estate and the local beach which is clearly sign-posted. The local farm shop is a 2 minute walk away and is quite well stocked. Also a small Sainsbury's in Hunstanton (a 5 minute drive away). Milly was available at all times on her mobile and was on site each morning. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble and she was clearly keen to ensure that guests were ok and enjoying their stay. Impeccable customer service. Overall we had a really enjoyable weekend and would not hesitate to recommend to others. Thanks Milly for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable !

INSIDE THE TENT –
We were pleasantly surprised at the amount of useful bits and bobs provided in the tent, everything from cutlery, plates, bowls, cooking pans/utensils, glasses, mugs etc. There was tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, tin foil, fire-lighters and matches left in the kitchen area however I’m not sure how much of this was left by the previous tenants but it was a nice bonus so we in turn left some supplies and a new gas canister for the next visitors. It’s worth noting that there are no towels provided in the tents. We brought our own tea towels and bath towels which were indispensible over our stay and dried quickly out on the decking rails in the early sun.
The beds were extremely comfortable and the linen provided was soft and clean. The shower was great, easy to use and perfect to start the day. Hot water is only provided to the shower room so we used the very useful gas burner provided in the kitchen area to quickly boil water for washing up (and of course a quick cup of tea)!
On hot days the whole front of the tent can be rolled up otherwise you can simply roll the ‘door’ up. All the ‘windows’ had internal flaps that could be rolled up or let down depending on how much light you wanted to let in and the two bedroom windows had a clear external outer panel that could be rolled up leaving just a fine mesh net to let in the air (and keep out the bugs) on hot nights.
There is a decking area to the front of the tent with comfortable outdoor seating and coffee table. There is a small decking (undercover) walkway between the bedrooms and the shower/loo with small motion sensor lights on the wall which are very useful finding your way in the dark.

EATING & COOKING –
A short walk through the orchards is a little farm shop (shutting around 5pm) selling tasty local food and drink ...I recommend the sausages and bacon! Just before the farm shop is the yurt restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We ate in there a few times when we wanted a break from cooking, plus the food was always good! As a ‘glamper’ with Wild Luxury you receive a 10% discount in the yurt and farm shop you just need to show them the keyring provided in your tent. There is also an ‘Honesty Pantry’ near the tents which has a small supply of essentials and a list of how much everything costs. Each tent has a sheet on a clipboard where you write down what you’ve taken and at the end of your stay settle up the payment in cash or by cheque.
As there is no electricity in the tents it can be a little bit tricky storing food, however the Wild Luxury team have thought of everything and provided a large cool box which you can regularly change with frozen hot water bottles and bags of ice (provided for free by Milly’s shed just before you get to the yurt/shop). These kept everything cool but is not as cold as a fridge so we made sure to eat any meat/perishables within 24hrs of putting it in the cool box.
For cooking in the tent there is the wood burning range. Once lit this really adds some warmth to the living space (especially on cold evenings). On arrival to our tent were shown how to use the range and Milly the camp director was nice enough set a fire up for us to use later on. We paid for the extra firewood option which automatically came with a large metal fire-pit close to the tent. Each day you pick up your wheelbarrow’s worth of wood from the woodshed at the field entrance and can be kept by the side of the tent when not in use. This was also useful when transporting luggage to and from the car.

THE BEACH –
At Thornham Bay there is a secluded section of beach within walking distance (20 to 30mins) from camp through pretty fields, woodland and along the salt marshes and dunes. As the tide goes out it leaves huge sections of wavy dents and grooves in the sand filled with pools of crystal clear water that’s great for paddling in! It’s very scenic (especially on a clear sunny day) and definitely worth a trip. There are no amenities at this beach site unlike Brancaster Beach a few minutes drive up the road which is probably better suited to families with children.

WILDLIFE –
There are a couple of very tame chickens wandering around camp and on a few occasions they even ambled up onto the decking and into our tent! There is a flock of guinea fowl that wander around all day and night ... they can be a bit noisy but this didn’t bother me. There are rabbits hopping across the field where dragonflies and butterflies bounced across the tall ‘scrub’ of wild flowers and plants (such as chamomile, dock, clover, dandelions etc). As it grew darker we would hear various owl calls but the amazingly clear night sky was just as much a treat especially coming from a town where few stars are ever seen.
