Always have a good time at The Ship. We were there last Sunday however and the waitress (young girl of about 20)obviously didn't want to be there. No smiles or please or thank you. Apart from that we had a great night as usual.

Arrived to a cacophony of human happiness on a Friday evening. Despite the bar areas busyness we received prompt and attentive service. Throughout the entire evening Scott (manager/host) was extremely attentive and his fabulous team went about their work with a delightful demeanour.
The food was fabulous.
Great night, highly recommend.

My family and I (and dog!) went here for dinner and found it to be excellent. We didn't stay in the hotel - just went to eat, but found the staff to be very friendly, the beer perfect and the food much better quality than the price suggests. Trying to go back for another meal before we leave, but fully booked (not surprisingly...) Highly recommend!!

We stayed for one night here and wish it could have been longer. From the friendly welcome to the great room and good food, we could not have asked for more.

It is obvious that the Flying Kiwi Inns (who run this Gastro Pub / Hotel) have gone to a lot of effort in setting this place up. The decor is smart and tasteful with nice touches throughout. The food menu is sound with plenty of choice as well as a good children's selection and, whilst not the cheapest, you get what you pay for. Likewise, the beer and wine choice is also sensibly chosen and priced.

Equally, I cannot fault the service that we received. Minor shuffles in the room did not faze them and nothing was too much trouble - if only all establishments were this good.

Lastly, it is very close to Brancaster Beach which is a must visit bucket and spade beach (if you like building sand castles!).

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at The Ship Hotel end of March, room was of a lovely design & very comfortable. The food was of great quality & plenty of it. Staff were very friendly & helpful at all times, hope to return again soon for another break in Brancaster.

Yesterday myself and my family went to Norfolk for the day to celebrate a family birthday. We have been to the Ship for a few meals before and really enjoyed the times we had been there, so therefore decided to go again.
Firstly when we arrived we told a waitress that we had booked a table for 6 and she replied with "Yes its ready for you" then walked off and we weren't sure what was going on. We decided to get some drinks from the bar and no one really helped us promptly. When we finally got taken to our table we were not given the sandwich lunch menu and therefore I had to get it myself. The waitress who served us, (not sure if she was the manager) was not at all friendly and for the price of the food the standard of service did not match at all.

The food we had was nice but the service did affect the enjoyment of the overall meal.

We stayed 3 nights bed and breakfast with our two pet dogs. From first arriving we could not have been treated better. Room 4 is really stylish and the roll top bath a real treat. It was great to be able to sit in comfort with our pets at breakfast and for our evening meal (there are tables designated for dog guests) and what a lovely touch for our dogs to receive a freshly prepared sausage each for breakfast served with such style by the manager! The walks in the vicinity of the hotel are lovely and we saw seals down on the beach which was a bonus. The housekeeping staff are brilliant and do a great job. We were shown around some of the other rooms and I cannot imagine any being a disappointment. We shall return.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the main road but the road is fairly quiet at night and did not cause us a probl...
