Our stay at duck cottage was amazing. Location was perfect for the town.
The cottage was clean and had everything you could want.
We would recommend anyone to stay at this cottage.

“Home away from home.”
Reviewed 1 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

This was a lovely place to stay in while we were in North Yorkshire. We based ourselves in Thirsk and ventured out to many of the surrounding towns and villages.
duck cottage is clean, warm and comfortable. This was especially important while we were there as it was chilly outside.
Literally just around the corner is the town square with everything you could need in a village including pubs, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and the all important Info Centre.
Great place to base yourself in to explore North Yorkshire.
Only negative is there is no wifi and mobile phone reception is limited.

“Certainly got the WOW factor as you walk through the door.”
Reviewed 7 March 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Beautifully converted and fitted out, every home comfort has been thought about. Love the decor! Little touches like welcome drinks, milk and wine, books, maps games etc. Great little town with lots to do, in a lovely area. We would love to return.

“Just what we needed”
Reviewed 23 January 2015 for a stay in July 2014

A very pleasant small 2 bedroom cottage close to the market square but tucked away in a small quiet mews with views over the river. Nicely furnished and decorated, uncluttered but with everything we needed. Recommended – we would stay again, but have moved to nearby York so don't need to. Thirsk is a typical Yorkshire market town with lots of facilities and amenities. Plenty of tearooms and restaurants if you don't want to self-cater. Excellent Olivia's bakery less than 2 minutes away selling fantastic breads and a good cafe menu. Helpful owner, no hassles with the booking.

This lovely cottage has it all. A great location, style, charm and that essential cosiness that allows complete relaxation. It's fully equipped and the owners have covered all the important bases - including parking. We loved it.

“Don't hesitate, book it!”
Reviewed 15 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

A well presented and comfortable cottage set in a delightful setting overlooking the river with local amenities nearby, as detailed in the other reviews. We will definitely book again for future visits to this area. A minor observation, wifi would be appreciated.
