Just got back from a weekend golf and spa break. All the requests made at time of booking were met, plus a few more extra special touches. Although the hotel and spa were very busy there were enough helpful and friendly staff to cope with all the different functions. We could not fault any of it, the treatments, food, and rooms were excellent and have to give a special mention to Murrays restaurant where the food was exceptional, as were the waiter/waitress.

We we're treated to a weekend stay and enjoyed the golf and spa. Both were very good facilities. Though the spa was busy, we always were able to use the various areas. It may have been difficult to find our way between the pool and the day spa areas, but there were always plenty of staff to guide us! Staff were friendly and offered help when they saw we were a bit lost!
The spa was full of women in various groups along with a few couples. If you go for a couples break then we suggest you check with the hotel if they are expecting a large number of female groups attending, as any males may feel outnumbered!
The stay included dinner in Murray's restaurant - the food and service was exceptional - expertly presented and very flavoursome. Top class service too! If you have the opportunity to dine here, jump at the opportunity! Do not expect large portions but very well prepared and enjoyable dishes. We had a relaxing evening. You will enjoy the excellent presentation of dishes - especially the mains! I wish this restaurant could be replicated near our home - it was that good - thank you to the staff at this restaurant.
Breakfast was a buffet. Despite there being so many people, there was always plenty of food available and also staff to assist, where needed. If our tea/coffee was low, it was replenished without a request.
We were impressed at how well organised the hotel and spa is, despite reading some awful reviews on Tripadvisor. We usually steer clear of large hotels and the good service took us by surprise. Even the reception was well staffed with plenty of service desks.
We will recommend this location to others and hope to visit again soon!

I have frequently stayed at the spa over the past six years. I've always enjoyed the facilities and I have introduced numerous family and friends to your facilities. However my last spa stay did not met my expectations.

The spa was extremely busy and overcrowded. We were unable to use and enjoy the facilities because of the large volume of people. In the large pool there was frequently no seats available and the steam rooms were constantly full. It appeared that the spa was overbooked, which failed to create the relaxing environment we were expecting.

3 of my group had an elemis lime and salt glow treatment and although I have no complaints with regards to the individual therapist the treatment as a whole was disappointing. The showers in the treatment rooms was not working properly. They were cold and stiff and one can only be described as a locker room shower. It had a push button to start it and it kept stopping. The treatment seemed rushed and the appropriate time allowance would have been 45 minutes.

The rooms were not of a high standard and there were problems in each room. The curtains did not draw properly, in the morning the toilet was leaking from the back. In another room there were only two TV channels working on the TV, there was no back to the TV remote, there were no blankets in the room. We requested some from housekeeping, but was advised that blankets are not supplied. However there were blankets in the other rooms. In another room there was no heating. The service manager attended the room and confirmed that the heater was broken and a portable heater had to be provided. The beds in all rooms were small and uncomfortable. 2 of our group suffered stiff neck and painful lower back as a result.

The server who brought tea and coffee during breakfast made us feel like we were a nuisance to her. She stretched over our food on a number of occasions and and also stretched over myself and the other guest to serve those on the other side of the table instead of going around to that side of the table to serve them. The guests on the table next to us commented on her lack of service skills to us.

Overall, I was very dissatisfied with my stay. The standards that I experienced did not coincide with the price we paid.

Went to whittlebury hall with family for my grandmas birthday and we really really enjoyed it. There was a lot of facilities to enjoy such as the pool and the day spa. We stayed over night, got lunch dinner and breakfast, full use of everything and got a treatment all for £129! I had a full body massage which was extremely relaxing. I personally didn't like the food as it wasn't to my taste but the rest of my family did. Will definitely go back. :)

The two-day spa break was a lovely birthday present to my husband and I, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Facilities excellent, very clean, tidy and well maintained. Room was excellent, fantastic in every way especially the en-suite bathroom/shower. Robes provided for the spa, but a tip is take some poolside shoes [flipflops] with you or you will have to purchase some when you arrive. Food very good too and the offer included evening meal at a discounted price. breakfast was super, lots to choose from to suit everyone. Very good break, worth every penny and very relaxing too.

Room Tip: All the rooms/facilities are of excellent quality.

I went to the Whittlebury for my daughters hen party. There were 15 of us and the service from start to finish was excellent. The spa had all that you could want & some of us had back massages or facial & everyone complimented on how experienced & professional the girls all were. We had lunch dinner & breakfast in our offer & we could not fault any of the food. There was a great variety & something for everyone. All the staff were helpful & polite. I will definitely be returning.

I booked a spa break at this hotel but after reading the reviews was very concerned that it was not going to be relaxing. I was very pleasantly surprised, it was busy but not too busy that I didn't enjoy it. I had a lovely back massage and spent the day between the main pool and the fire and ice experience. The main pool was busiest in the morning especially with children but later in the afternoon there were plenty of free loungers and only a few people using the pool. The fire and ice was very good with lots of different hot and cold experiences available to try. We also had a 2 course lunch buffet in Aston's restaurant where there was plenty of choice and food was good quality. Our hotel room was also of a good standard with a huge bathroom, if not a little dated. We also had a 3 course dinner included in our stay which again was in Aston's restaurant with good choice and quality. After dinner we had drinks in the F1 bar where there is plenty of f1 memorabilia to browse on the walls. My only criticism would be the organisation of the spa breaks where you have to arrive very early without knowledge of what time your treatment is and queue while they find your confirmation/itinerary.
In general I enjoyed my stay and it is amazing value for money!
