There's only a few bits of masonry left with one large tower-like chunk in the middle. Well-maintained grassy slopes ideal for picnics or family rounders/cricket etc. Nice views and worth a look for kids to run around. Like the rest of Bramber its beautifully maintained. Oh.... its free.

Interesting to look at but not much to see. Visited while staying in Bramber but would not go out of my way to visit

Well cared for with information boards at various sections. The lawned area gave it a visual boundary. Worth a visit.

I have been visiting this beautiful site for more tha eighty years and can remember the time when fairs were held here. It is a good place for a family picnic, the children can pick up a bit of history exploring the ruins, and a bit of botany from the many wild flowers.

pretty place to take a picnic on a nice day. nice quiet place at the top of a short but steep-ish walk way. we spent about an hour there wandering around and my son letting off some steam. there is a mound in the centre, with trees, but if you climb up be careful its very slippery. just below the castle there is a pretty church which was open when we went so we had a look around. there are lots of steps around the whole area so buggys/prams might struggle a bit. the only thing letting it down was some disrespectful...person....shall we say, throwing their rubbish around...makes me angry! outside the church gates. apart from that the whole village is delightful and clean.

if you visit here, a must, visit the St Mary's house and gardens on a sunday or thursday 2-6pm £8 for adults (not sure childs price)....its just beautiful (just down the road). there is a small car park in the village, its free but limited.
