My husband and I (33 weeks pregnant with #3) desperately needed some time away. Away from life, kids, work etc. So (with the help of babysitting grandparents) we got away to Daylesford VIC. I found Ashlar and I'm so happy we were able to stay there. We wanted something that did not suit kids/ family- something just for couples. something different from our normal budget plain minimal accommodation we normally book for family holidays. Ashlar- Manna Gums definitely was that. from the moment we got there we felt soooo relaxed, the heater was on waiting for us. a table set for two. lovely spa / open bathroom. We had our own little bit of heaven! There was even a loaf of bread, spreads, milk, cereal, juice there so we didn't even need anything other than our clothes! I brought a couple of books with me but I didn't even need then as there was a small collection there, as well as dvds & cds. Was awesome! I've been bragging to my friends about our awesome stay! would love to do it every year!

Stayed at Ashlar at Manna gums in August, and from the moment of opening the front door with the gas log fire going and Michael Buble playing in the background we knew we were going to love this accommodation. I was after a relaxing getaway and got that and more. An over abundance of amenities are provided for breakfast, the spa bath was nice and spacious and the bed very comfortable! I will be back again in summer to enjoy the lovely private courtyard. Ideally located with a short walk to the main strip of Daylesford but far enough away for some quiet time with yourselves and the sheep across the road. The short walk to the Farmers Arms for dinner was perfect too, will be back again soon!!
The accommodation was beautifully presented and ideal for a couple. We walked to the Farmers Arms for dinner which was a bonus, no driving required.
