My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night and had a great time. It was difficult to find a place that offered twin bed accommodation for one night. We had a deluxe twin room in the Manor house not the homestead. The room was spacious and well set up with private ensuite. The room overlooked the garden at the front of the property towards the main road but was very quiet. The whole area was very clean and the communal lounge is huge with two lovely open fire places. The house is centrally heated through out which was appreciated as it was starting to get quite chilly first thing in the morning and at night -it was lovely and warm. As we were the only ones there that night we had the whole house to ourselves.

Our hosts set the fire up for us to light when we came home from dinner which was wonderful to sit in front of to end the night.

Breakfast the next morning was served in the homestead conservatory where we were greeted by our host. We had opted for the continental breakfast which was included in our room tariff. The breakfast options were generous and a very good variety cereals breads jams yogurts teas
and coffee.

We had a wonderful stay - thanks for your hospitality!

Room Tip: If you want a twin room -the twin in the front area of the manor house is perfect.

I stayed at the B&B with 15 girl friends. We booked it over the internet and were so surprised when we got there. We thought the photos on the internet would not have been for the rooms that we had booked - but they were our rooms! Every room had an ensuite but the showers were in the bath except for 1 room, which could be a problem for some. 2 rooms were small so, if I were booking it for myself only, I would make sure I did not have either of these 2 rooms unless they were significantly cheeper. The decor was wonderful. We enjoyed sitting around the 2 open fires each morning and evening especially as we went in winter. The brekky was lovely and the host was very accommodating, constantly coming in to the lounge and cleaning up our mugs and replacing them with clean ones. We have planned to come back once a year but have decided that once a year is probably not enough!

Booked a long week end at Station Guest House recently and have to say what an excellent
B & B. Terrific roomy accommodation, very clean.
Host could not do enough for us, cooked magnificent breakfasts, very obliging and helped us
throughout our stay, whether locating restaurants or places to see.
Will and have recommended Staion Guest House to all our freinds and cannot wait to visit again

We stayed at the Station House 2 weeks ago. What a wonderful experience. My husband and I were showing 2 Canadians a little of Victoria and our stay at this property was a highlight. We were fortunate enough to be the only guests staying on this night, but there is ample room for a full house as such. It was a chilly Autumn night and the open fire was lovely. The Decor of the property is eclectic and interesting. The facilities are great, and include fridge, microwave and all the bits and pieces you need.
There is a 12 seat dining table, ample chairs and couches and a quaint verandah with seating. The two bedrooms our group occupied were very spacious and well appointed.

Our breakfast the next morning was excellent and we chose to pay a small fee for a cooked breakfast. It was satisfying and the dining room is again quaint and interesting. Our host, Linton was most accomodating and helpful. A footnote that must be included is the facgt that the excellent hotel- The Farmers Arms is about 100 metres up the road. This pub is great!!! A wonderful little local with an excellent dining room. The smoked duck breast salad was to die for! I consider the close proximity of the B&B and the Farmers Arms to be a big selling point!

I would recommend this place to anyone who likes something a little quirky, but still quite luxurious.

Room Tip: The king suite was excellent.

The place was average - largish room, weird decor, a bit out of town but nice and close to the Farmer's Arms hotel (bonus). Just expected something a little more polished for Daylesford. Brekky was simple. Atmosphere and decor lacked finesse and style.
