We'd read a review about their Orange Blossom Portuguese Tarts so made a special point of going to Ego's to sample them - they were spectacular!!!

On a chilly Sunday morning we walked in - a fire was going, the service was warm and friendly, coffee was great and breakfast was delicious. Eclectic atmosphere, very enjoyable.

As you would expect from a decent breakfast. Not fancy just plain. Price reflects this.

We had a great afternoon doing the high tea. It was hard to choose between the pretty window table or the magic little garden out the back. Drinks were quick but the tea tray took a long time. It was worth the wait though - delish, particularly the scones with apricot jam and cream, the baileys truffle and the cucumber sandwiches with lemon zest and a tiny bit of zing from something else. A great afternoon, good value and worth checking out the antiques and curios next door
