A lovely, warm & cosy cottage. The view was picturesque & the birds were happy to come eat from our hands. The spa was perfect on those cold evenings and the bottle of champagne on arrival was a great touch. We had a slight plumbing issue with the shower, but after a phone call to Di, the plumber was there within the hour and the problem fixed. A great getaway with my sister & mum. Thank you so much for having us Di & Duncan. We will be back!
The Daylesford area is lovely with nearby towns of Hepburn and Trentham both worth visiting. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very much as advertised. For those who haven't been before, lots of great places to see, dine and explore. we particularly enjoyed the Convent Gallery and cafe for lunch and the Farmers Arms Hotel for a few beers and a lovely dinner. We will be back to explore the area further.
Daylesford is a charming and quaint little village in close proximity to many places of interest with fascinating historical content. Perfect hub for travel to other areas and also good opportunity for those who enjoy walking. Great variety of good restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops and quirky retail shops. Cottage is beautifully and tastefully furnished with all items necessary and beyond for a comfortable and indulgent "home from home" stay. Personal touches and caring hosts, Di and Duncan, made our stay a special and memorable one. The spa bath in the country setting complete with candles, bubbly and luxury chocolates all part of the package! Highly recommended and definitely worth repeated of visits.
Located on the main Hepburn Springs road north of Daylesford on a fairly sharp bend down a short steep track, Briars Cottage overlooks wooded Doctor's Gulley where a variety of cockatoos, rosellas, kangaroos etc can be spied from the deck. The cockatoos especially make their presence felt at dawn and dusk!
A two person spa bath graces the deck and it is one of life's more pleasurable moments to sit there with a cool glass of fizz watching the wildlife watching you! Also on the deck is a BBQ, but it appeared to be unserviceable so we will move on to the interior. Note to owners: if you advertise it, make sure it works.
The accommodation over two floors is clean and contains all the requirements for two couples - a sizeable living area, fully equipped kitchen (and as a nice touch some fizz and a few other supplies in the fridge). Upstairs are two bedrooms, on en-suite, the other with separate shower room.
There are so many attractions in the area all within easy reach, but the Lavender Farm at Hepburn stood out above the others.
Despite the lack of BBQ steaks, we four had a brief but comfortable stay at Briars Cottage.
This lovely little cottage is perfect for a short or longer term getaway. Situated within walking distance of the town centre but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle in a bushland setting, the location is ideal.
The accommodation has lots of little luxuries and will not disappoint.
Amazing! Complimentary bubbles, chocolates and other goodies. The spa and view was wonderful, will definitely come back again. We enjoyed it, very homely.

Was a really cozy place to stay. With the heater and radio on which felt like home. Close to everything around and will definitely stay there again. Highly recommend it
