My daughter and I have just spent three very pleasant nights in a poolside room at Ferntree. The rooms are all pretty old, but very clean. It's not luxury, but everyone is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a bit disappointing with no hot options, just toast, cereals and fruit.
We only ate in the restaurant once and it was fine, not as nice as Whet.
The only real criticism we had was that rooms are only cleaned every two days, and as we were doing lots of activities we were having regular showers, so by the third morning our towels were so wet they were unusable as the rooms are humid (of course) and so nothing dries.
I know it's an eco friendly hotel but the option of dry towels would have been welcome!
