We did see one croc because of the season but the reason I found this tour to be average is that our captain didn't seem to have a great deal of knowledge of the creatures he was trying to find. Half the boat was taken up by park rangers who were asking him questions and most of the time he said I don't know I get asked that a lot.... all his sentences ended in "yeah" . "Usually there is a croc there but it's too hot, yeah". If you want a tour with someone who has the knowledge of the river then go for Dan Irby.

I went with my family on this hour long Wilderness Cruise on Coopers Creek. We were warned that during the summer months it's much harder to see crocs but the mangrove-lined Creek was stunning anyway wirth beautiful views of the mountain. It did start to look like we wouldn't see a croc but then we spotted one and it was the most amazing experience to watch this wild croc in it's natural habitat rolling along the bank scraping its jaws in the mud in search of crabs. It was like it didn't even know the boat was there (and I guess as Ernie has been the only one operating that boat on Coopers creek the Crocs have grown up with the boat!). It was really amazing (and scary) to see a croc in it's natural habitat doing what crocs do!! Loved it and would thouroughly recommend it.

We drove to Daintree area from Palm cove. This trip was recommended by the manager of our accommodation. Was a short but informative trip. Easy to find and prompt response when enquiring about trip. We didn't book ahead. Not overly commercial and playing respect to the locals chrocs of cooper creek

Loved this tour. It was only an hour but we saw about 7 crocodiles very close up, including an absolutely monstrous male crocodile that seemed like it was out of a horror film, and also a tiny baby one. Got some great photos! The guide gave some interesting info on the wildlife and obviously knew what he was talking about, though it would have been good to learn even more about the crocodiles.

Well worth the hour spent. Ernie knows the river, the ecology, where and how to find the crocs, the area wildlife and has a great sense of humor. This is a casual, down to earth cruise of Cooper Creek's mangroves.
