“Great fun even in bad weather”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

My friend and I decided to go kayaking despite quite ordinary weather (wind/strong surge/waves) earlier in the month with the low pressure systems of Nth QLD coast. Despite the weather we still had a great time out on the ocean and would absolutely recommend this tour. It was a fun way to see the local area and Pete was very knowledgeable and passionate about his backyard.
Pete was a fantastic instructor, encouraging and motivating, whilst we kayaked through some quite big waves getting around the headland, yet we were laughing and smiling the whole way!
Once we got around the headland we surfed some waves onto the beach (I stacked it lol), we enjoyed cake and cordial, and had a walk on the beach and through the mangroves. Pete was able to educate us about the local fauna and flora and even made us taste an ANT!!!!

This was such a fun day and I would absolutely recommend this company and activity (even in bad weather)!!!!!!!!!

“Great fun at Cape Tribulation.”
Reviewed 6 March 2014

A late afternoon ocean kayak at Cape Tribulation was great fun. Good opportunity to see various forms of wide life including turtles, very small sharks, birds in a beautiful environment. The paddle covers a huge variety in an easy two hour paddle - including sea grass area, reef, mangroves and beach. Peter is very knowledgeable and clearly loves the World Heritage Daintree area.

The paddle is easy and we had some complete novices on the trip who generated some good natured laughs. Don't be put off if you have never been in a kayak before. Peter even provides afternoon tea, and air lock bags for cameras. Lock up available for clothing towels etc right at beach.

“Awesome”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

I went on the paddletrek with my group of friends and it was one of the highlights of my trip. I have never kayaked before and i would most definitely reccomend to those like me because i realised that kayaking is definitely more relaxing and calming than it is energy draining. The view is beautiful, it feels extremely safe and its a very social activity too because you are right beside your friends. We had Dwyght as our guide and he made the experience so much better than it already was. You can tell straight away that he loves his job and his lifestyle and that has a really encouraging effect on you to absorb all your surroundings. We learnt so many things about the rainforest and its inhabitants, we also got to see turtles, crabs and paddle right beside them. This was a really great tour and i would really reccomend it!!!

His enthusiasm towards the nature and animals brightened up our day and we could not stop listening to his interesting life stories. The trip went for 2hr ish and it was much worth it. We saw turtles while paddling and the views were really awesome, the water was really warm and chilling on the kayak is just a must do for cairns.

“perfect acivity in cape tribulation”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

A couple of friends and i did paddletrek and it was amazing, a totally unforgetable and enjoyable experience. We did the jungle surfing in the morning and booked paddle trek for the sunset tour and our guide dwyght was definitely the best guide we had while we were up in queensland. the sights were amazing the kayaking was really enjoyable physical activity for the group and dwyght always had really great facts about the daintree that made us really appreciate our chance to explore the daintree and the reef filled with turtles poppping their heads up at us was totally adorable and magical. you also get to explore the mangroves and lookouts where the rainforest meets the reef plus delish homemade food in between paddling out in the reef. deifinetly recommend this trip for absolutely anyone!
