“Amazing experience - can't wait to do it again.”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

We had wet and less than ideal conditions - but a wonderful experience! Dwight was an amazing guide, he had so much knowledge and made me (a first time kayaker) feel completely safe. He tailored what we did to the conditions and made sure we could stay out as long as possible. I'm very keen now to do this tour again in fine weather! An excellent experience that I'd recommend to anyone.

“Absolutely Do It!”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

The weather was iffy for the morning paddle but our guide Dwight advised giving it a go and we absolutely loved it! Even overcast with rain it was one of the loveliest tourist experiences you could hope for. We were in expert hands with Dwight and had some great stories to hear and tell. Homemade chocolate cake was a fantastic morning tea, too!

Thank you for your review. We love it when people decide to come out on tour, even if the weather is not that great, and then enjoy it so much.

“Awesome”
Reviewed 9 August 2014 via mobile

I was hesitant at first to do the kayaking especially since it had been storming all morning. We had one of the roughest conditions to go out in and it was the BEST TIME! I give this the highest recommendation if you are after something adventurous. The surfing was so much fun!

“Fantastic kayaking trip around Cape Tribulation headland. ”
Reviewed 4 August 2014 via mobile

Spent a morning on the water with Pete the Kiwi. Our party of three, a couple from Hong Kong and another family of four (in double seated kayaks) from UK.
Our guide was Pete, very knowledgeable, very competent on the water and a likeable Kiwi now resident in Queensland.
After some introductory oarsmanship we headed off towards the coral and kept a look out for any turtles or fish. We made our way to the nursery surf and practiced riding waves before we undertook the morning's challenge which was to paddle around the headland of Cape Tribulation.
What a fantastic experience! There was some swell and we pushed on into a slight headwind making it feel as though we were actually achieving something rather than just pootling about on the water.
We came ashore in the surf on Myall beach for some cake and juice.
After a short break we kayaked back our to sea through the waves and then turned with the wind to have a greatly appreciated tail wind to push us back home.
All in all the best canoe / kayak trip I have been on during holidays in various parts of the world.
Would thoroughly recommend that if you are in the area you set aside some time and have a go at this activity. You will have a great time and when you ride the waves around the headland have a real sense of achievement.

“Amazing experience with an excellent guide”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

If you want to see Cape Tribulation from a different angle, learn about its history and geography, while having the best time of your trip, you can't go wrong with PaddleTrek.
Pete was an extremely friendly and helpful guide, very confident in sea kayaking and seemed to know a lot about everything around us. He made conversation with everyone in the group, making us all feel very welcome. His homemade cake was very good too.
We didn't get to see any sea turtles or dugongs on our morning kayak tour, but it was still a highlight in our trip to the Daintree area.
Definitely recommended.
