We arrived late in the evening and the owner Steve was waiting for us. There are no street lights in the area so we took advantage of the clear sky and John walked us around the gardens pointing out the stars. Stunning sky!
We stayed in a twin room, comfortable beds with a smallish but very clean ensuite. Breakfast is served at a time agreed the night before and we received fruit salads, toast, jam, tea, coffee on the beautiful terrace on the front and side of the house. I can see how this place can be cosy in the winter time as well, there is welcoming looking heater in the lounge, sofas and armchair.
My friend took advantage of the swimming pool outside in the morning which has a lovely view and plenty of space to sit around.
Steve is a very friendly and interesting person, make sure you ask him about his life (I don't wish to be a spoiler:)
If you book through Agoda make sure you ring the day before just to make sure they can meet you and the B&B as John and his wife do not live at the homestead.More
