Owner description: Kenilworth is a small rural township in the beautiful Mary Valley. Part of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland its rolling hills and lush green pasture make this ideal dairy country. The Kenilworth Cheese Factory was purchased from the Kraft Corporation in 1990 by a group of former employees who created a factory that specialised in quality hand crafted cheeses. Recently the factory was purchased by the Cochrane family, 6th generation local dairy farmers, who are determined to enhance the tradition of quality dairy production. Utilising the milk from their own herd, creating the Kenilworth Dairies brand and investing heavily in the Kenilworth factory has ensured the tradition of udderly delicious dairy products will continue to flourish in the Mary Valley. There is a lot happening at the factory with renovations and with the possible cheese making work shops (TBA). Open 7 days a week 9am - 4pm for Cheese Tastings, Coffee, Lunch or Snack. Hope to see you at Kenilworth Dairies.
Useful Information: Wheelchair access, Food available for purchase

Went to the Kenilworth Cheese Factory on a Monday. It wasn't quite what I was expecting. It had shelves of deli goods (sauces, jams, relishes), a tasting refrigerator that you help yourself to cheese from containers with toothpicks and fridges with cheeses and yoghurts to buy. It was more like a small deli vs a factory. Minimal staff interaction. The cheese is great and the ice cream is yummy, but it's not a day trip experience, more of a "call past on your way somewhere else".

Great range of cheeses and yummy yoghurt and ice creams. The milkshakes reminds me of the old days when your shake container was full to overflowing and tastes so fresh, they are superb.

This place is a real hidden gem and the cheese platters and range of cheeses and yoghurts on offer etc is definitely a place one must visit again and again.

This business is a must do if your anywhere near the sunshine coast and it would certainly make a pleasant drive from Brisbane where after visiting the fantastic Kenilworth Cheese Factory you can also visit Maleny and Montville.

Decided to stop for lunch at Kenilworth and visit the cheese factory. What a delightful place, tasted most of their cheeses that were on offer, couldn't decide on a favourite they were all delicious. Onto the yoghurt and mousse after the cheese, the chocolate mousse was yummy so was the yoghurt. Unfortunately we couldn't buy any as we had no esky with us and we still had 5 days before returning home, so lesson here is take something to keep your purchases from spoiling. They also sell a range of local produce and ice creams, we were going to return for an ice cream after lunch but that is another story. If you are driving through Kenilworth and enjoy the odd bit of cheese do stop at the cheese factory you wont be disappointed.
