We have only just returned from a 3 night stay in the Lorikeet Cottage (May 2014) and we will definitely return. We cannot stop speaking of just how well we were catered for. The views from the cabins are splendid and the accommodation overall was great. It was very clean and quite spacious. It was extremely cold weather but the staff were very obliging keeping the wood supply aplenty so we could keep our fireplace alight. Breakfast was included in our tariff and what a delight it was. If you take my advice and book this accommodation do yourself a favour and include a dinner in your stay . You will not regret it.

Fabulous again! We keep going back. It is good for the soul to be in such a beautiful place with such welcoming hosts. The cottages are very well equipped and the views are stunning. Wildlife abounds just outside your windows.

We stayed a night in Lorikeet Cottage. Spacious cottage built on a hillside with large windows allowing you to see the stunning picturesque view. Clean and simple cottage with all amenities. No phone or internet access which adds to the total relaxing experience. Walk to the restaurant. Take a cardi as it is cool early mornings and evenings. Everywhere else was 32 degrees but cool and lovely I the hills.

This is one of our favourite places to get away from it all. Beautifully appointed cottages with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. We enjoyed the visits from the wallabies and the blue wrens. With only three cottages in total, you are guaranteed peace and quiet. Copious and yummy breakfast which fuelled us for a hard walk up Mt Wilson. We had dinner delivered to our room - while it wasn't the most amazing food we have ever eaten and was talked up a bit too much on the menu, it sure beat having to cook for ourselves. Quiet expensive at restaurant prices, but fair considering it is difficult to get costings right in low volume settings. Beautiful part of SEQ and this place is ideally situated to appreciate it.

A spur of the moment decision to book into Spring Creek Mountain Cafe for lunch started our day well. This place has amazing views of the mountains and valleys around the Killarney area of South East Queensland. We started by ordering the Home Baked Bread & House-Made Dip made with Garlic Butter, Balsamic Vinegar & Extra Virgin Olive. Then some starters of Crab & Corn Fritters and a deep fried squid dish that was heaven. My main meal was a Middle Eastern Falafel Salad with Pumpkin, Feta, Red Onion, Tomato & Mint with Tahini, Yoghurt & Garlic Dressing & Pita Crisps... wow, beautiful all accompanied with a nice local wine. Not finished yet we ordered Coconut & Lemongrass Pannacotta with Pineapple, Lychee & Lime Salad with Coconut Ice Cream & Moroccan Apple Pie with Rose Petal Ice Cream, Persian Fairy Floss. Sooo nice. If you are ever visiting the border ranges area between Killarney and Boonah, make sure you drop in and check this place out.

But the food was cold and uncooked and the prices extortion. The road in is patchy and the signage non existent. Not sure who is staying in the cottages at the price either, although they look clean tidy and well positioned to take in that view.

I must say I am so dissapointed to read your review, we strive at all times to keep our customers happy, as you can see by the other reviews. I wish you had spoken at the time to myself or one of my staff about your dissatisfaction.
Regarding the road, unfortunately this is out of our control and has been an ongoing problem since Australia Day, where the road collapsed due to the extreme weather we all experienced. I am sure you are aware about how hard it is to get any action from councils, but the good news is that the main road in should reopen before Christmas.
Our accommodation is priced fairly considering a full gourmet breakfast is included in the tarrif.
As we have a high occupancy rate it seems many others feel the same
