“Historic tablelands”
Reviewed 19 November 2011

The Travellers Rest Guesthouse at Jaggan, Atherton Tablelands is a peice of Tablelands hiostory. Over its life it has had a number of uses from a boarding school for indigenous women to its current use as guesthouse. All rooms are set in mid 1900 period and contain many old wares. MIke & Tracey own and operate the guest house and are a friendly and welcoming couple. The Travellers rest was used buy my wife and myself as a base whilst visiting family and looking for real estate on the table lands. Now you have to remember that this is not a modern hotel or motel and some amenities are shared but its a great place to stay for a night or few with a group of friends large or small.

The big question is Would I if I was in the area stay there again? The answer is , without hesitation.

Room Tip: Rooms on the eastern side are quitest

Spent the night here while attending a "Murder Mystery" party. Terrific night, Tracy made a fantastic roast lamb dinner and Mike was the perfect host. Room was very clean and comfortable. Kids will love the animals
