Dined here back in August and I'm still annoyed.
Went with 4 adults and 2 Tweens , after being seated it took ages to be asked for our order. We then waited over an hour for our entrees. Our booking was at 7 and it was at 8.20 that I asked the waitress when we would receive some food. The response was - I was wondering that as well - if you were wondering why didn't you do something?? No offer was made to give us bread or something the waitress just looked at me blankly and said the kitchen was quite busy . That would be because you seated everyone at the same time and didn't stagger the orders..when the food did arrive it was lukewarm. It was nice but nowhere near the quality it should have been for the price. For the 2 Tweens we ordered the steak and chips. The steak I wouldn't have served to my cat. It was tough and clearly the end of a piece of meat - not good enough for what we paid..
The final insult was the maître d who clearly left the young waitress to deal with the issues. Whilst our food was not being delivered and the kitchen was under pressure he thought it appropriate to stand around drinking wine with the other patrons. He continued to make his way around the restaurant stopping at pretty much every table but ours and never ever coming to apologise for the delay. Maybe we weren't worth the effort because we weren't drinking the expensive wine. Or maybe you need to be a local to be appreciated..
Not good enough it was supposed to be a nice evening out for my husbands birthday but instead just made us angry.
