“Disappointing”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

This B&B is certainly hidden away in a lovely green valley. It is not in walking distance to Maleny township. Kerrie was friendly and helpful with any queries we had. She also cooked a great breakfast. Our main concerns however were with the state of the accommodation. It is in need of maintenance/cleaning and badly needs replacement of furnishings. Our lounge chairs had stains and the seams were coming apart. Our bathroom had mould and cobwebs. Our rooms were bland and in need of some form of decor. WiFi was not available in our rooms but could be accessed on a nearby patio. You could not sit on the patio furniture due to the poor state of it. We found this place disappointing.

Kerrie and Grant are awesome hosts, super friendly and made our two night stay very pleasant. The magnificent views and green space (acres) were to die for. As a group going to a wedding in Maleny it made sense to stay. We had an apartment style set up with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living area on the upper level. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Kerrie whipped up delicious breakfasts each morning. Nice lounge area where you can access free wifi while over looking the mountains. Great for those that enjoy pets as there were Milo, Otis (two lovely lab/retriever crosses) Missy the cat, a duck, a goat and chickens. Not that we used it though the pool did look inviting.

We loved this hideaway, we didn't know what to expect when we booked but the saltwater pool beckoned in the 40 degree heat. Kerry & Grant were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the freedom to sit on the house balcony sipping champagne and watching the sunset over the green rolling hills, and making our own dinner in the kitchen. We had one of the smaller rooms - very clean with ensuite shower - every window looked out onto the green garden but still felt private. We also loved the breezy openess of the house and two lazy labs and chooks and the general hideaway feel. Thanks to the hosts, we'll be back!

We loved the house, full of character and it's set in 7 acres of garden with terrific views. We got a great welcome on arrival from Kerrie and Grant; they were very helpful and friendly. The room was light, airy with lovely decor; french windows out to a little private patio, so nice to sit and admire the garden and views before breakfast. The food was also great, so fresh and tasty and plenty of it. Certainly is great value for money. The peace and tranquility was amazing, fabulous atmosphere. So much to do and explore, no wonder people want to come back - I certainly do !

Room Tip: Room 2 has the patio and lovely en-suite bathroom

Kerrie and Grant were wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The breakfasts were delicious especially when having eggs straight from the chooks in the garden! We had a downstairs room with a private patio that looked out to a fantastic view of the mountains, a very comfy bed and lovely ensuite shower. Will be recommending to my friends and looking forward to coming back myself!

Kerry and Grant are two extremely lovely people and could not have been nicer to us. They are truly genuine and considerate and could not have been more accommodating.
Although not a modern building, this place feels like you're staying with a very nice Aunt! The dogs were friendly, the chooks were friendly, the pool was cool. The view from the deck is outstanding. Thank you so much, Janine and Amelia. We will be back.

We have been coming to the Hideaway for 8 years now. Kerry and Grant are wonderful hosts. We love the fact the it is consistently great value for money, good for a casual weekend away. We have stayed in every room they have. There is a lovely king size bed/room downstairs, an apartment with a lounge upstairs, our favourite number 5 and two smaller rooms that are ok if the others are booked out. The accommodation is clean and simple with no frills. It's not five star but its quaint. Breakfast is outstanding, the grounds and view amazing, a pool and a shared lounge area. It is a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We have come as a couple as well as a family. Outstanding value for money.
