We just got back from staying at Maleny Hideaway. What a nice place! Grant and Kerrie were excellent hosts, and it's a lovely place to take your family. We had our own small apartment, with lovely comfy beds, two nice bathrooms, fluffy towels, and free access to the B&B lounge, kitchen, BBQ, and grounds. We could have cooked dinner and lunches for ourselves if we had wanted to. There's a pool, but we didn't try that (since it is the middle of Winter now), but we got to feed the chickens and the ducks, and Otis the labrador is about the friendliest dog around. He also does tricks for dog snacks and accompanies you while you wander around the grounds. He likes tummy rubs and paw shakes. Our kids had a ball.
This place is not fancy, but with kids, that's not what you need. Great hospitality, great breakfast, very affordable, and an all around nice experience. Some of the old reviews on this site are not positive for the Hideaway. Don't listen to them. The B&B is under new management, and they are doing a great job. Thanks Kerrie and Grant for a lovely stay!
