Nice guide! Learned a lot about coffee, but tour was a little rushed! The complementary coffee was delicious and the scones were good as well!

“Well worth the visit”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

If you are visiting the Cairns region and thinking of going up the range to visit Kuranda, it is well worth the effort to go a further 35 km towards Mareeba to visit the Jaques Coffee Plantation. The visit will introduce you to coffee growing and processing, and you will hear about the inspirational efforts of Nat Jaques and his family to establish this coffee plantation against a number of serious setbacks. The Jaques and their staff are most welcoming and friendly, and the shop provides really great coffee and light meals.
For those who would like a bit of excitement, the Jaques offer flights in either a microlight aircraft or a gyrocopter. My wife and I, both over 60 years of age, took rides in the two-seater gyrocopter and it was a thrilling experience with fantastic views over the tablelands countryside.
Jaques Coffee Plantation - well worth the visit.

“Best Coffee on the Tablelands”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

At Jacques they grow the coffee, pick it roast it and serve up the final product as a great coffee. They have a short menu of meals that they do really well. the food quality is good, the service is very friendly and the setting is delightful. On top of this you can do a tour of the plantation and learn about how the coffee is grown or you can take a light aircraft flight over the picturesque district. A great place to visit! I go back again and again!

“worth a visit”

Visited here after viewing the coffee roasting attraction in Mareebra. It was great to see the coffee plantation and learn about how the beans are grown and harvested. Wonderful story about how the family overcame adversity to establish what they have here today.
Friendly staff and enjoyed a great cup of coffee and scones in the cafe.
