Booked and paid deposit on a specific one-bedroom corner apartment 6 months prior to arrival...our midwinter escape from a cooler climate...rang 1 - 2 days beforehand to ensure everything was in order and were informed that we had been upgraded to a two-bedroom apartment on a higher level with seaviews!...what?...we had discussed this with management when making booking and didnt want to be on that cold side with views losing sun before midday!!!...our booked unit was a sunny corner one on a lower level....we wouldnt have made a booking with Majorca Isle if we had known that they were going to do this..spouse questioned Ross, I think, the next day and was told that one needed to make a booking early!...we did!... 6 months earlier!...how would management feel iif they were treated like that???!!!...turns out the guests in our unit had stayed there previously but booked many months after us! Our cold unit's drapes were past their useby date...master bedrom had shabby thermal lining only with small holes ...lounge had missing drapes so only covered half the floor to ceiling glass when drawn at nite...no privacy so couldnt sit at dining table or sofa in night attire or nude! Also was informed in our toll call that a pool thermastat problem had just been fixed...dont believe that was the case as the water wasnt in the temperature range that the managers had advised us...tested with our travel thermometer!!!....other guests were complaining too...because the pool temp was so cool it flared up chesty asthma with one of us...needed a course of antibiotics...previously stayed at other apartments on 6th Avenue, Cotton Tree, Maroochydore and the pool water temp was as warm as stated by management. I let my spouse speak to the hubby and wife team as I couldnt look them in the face otherwise I may have blurted out the truth to them...didnt even give them a smile when walking past reception en route outside each day!...it spoilt our Sunshine Coast holiday completely...wont be back!...for every single complaint there must be???others out there!...sorry its taken so long to write this review!

We tried to find accomodation at short notice and booked at Majorca Isle Penthouse #51
We did not object to the price at the time of booking and were happy to pay what was asked (Had the unit been up the scratch)
We found that the pool (part of the penthouse) was green and obviously not maintained
The unit itself had the most basic kitchen utensils the glass table was smeared and not clean
The leather lounge was so dirty that dirt trensferred to light coloured clothes
the interior was generally dilapidated door frames split where doors had been forced open front door chime brolen and parts missing
Flat screen TV screen either smeared with dirt or scratched.
We tried to talk to the manager at the time of departure but she was on the phone and asked us to send an email regarding our issues. We did this on the 2nd Jan and have not had an acknowledgement or a reply.
We may have been unlucky but please look before you buy . The building has been recently refurbished on the outside. We are regular visitors to the Sunshine Coast and it is far and above the worst experience we have ever had with accomodation

Room Tip: Please look before you pay we may have been unlucky

Stayed at Majorca for 13 nights in October. My wife and I originally booked for 11 nights but when we walked into our spacious 2 bedroom unit on the 12th floor my wife immediately decided to extend our stay by 2 nights. The ocean views were superb and with undercover parking we would recomment this as an excellent place to stay either long or short term. Our only critisizim would be the cookware in the kitchen which was well past it's use by date

Room Tip: For ocean views i woulr recommend 7th floor and above

We spent 2 weeks in the 2 bedroom penthouse. While the building is an older style, you can not fault house cleaning or management. They are fantastic and everything from the rooms to the public areas were neat and tidy. There were a few little issues with the unit caused by the last tenants and management bent over backwards to ensure it didn't impact our stay.

The apartment was very very roomy with a large living area and big bedrooms. The kitchen was a tiny tiny gallery style one but still complete and perfectly fine for cooking almost everything. The penthouses also have their own private pools which we loved in addition to the pool, spa, sauna, games room and tennis court available for all guests. The 2 bdrm penthouse has views over the coast looking towards Mooloolba and on the otherside overlooking Buderim to Coolum, including the Maroochy river.

You are within walking distances to almost everything with a great little shopping area (chemist, groceries, butcher, cafes, etc) about 150m away. An added benefit was the Maroochy LIbrary across the road - great for kids on those occassion wet days. The Cotton Tree public swimming pools are also only a couple of minutes walk away. We loved our daily walks along the beach - right took you towards Alex. Headlands and left took you to the mouth of the Maroochy River.

Our inlaws stayed in a 2 bdrm apartment on the 12 floor which was spacious and very clean and tidy. It had views overlooking the beach but didn't have view looking back over the river or mountains. However, it was still a gorgeous apartment and we would have been just as happy staying there as on the top floor. However, the allure of your own private swimming pool , the extra living space and the amazing 270 degree views is definitely worth the extra money.

If you are looking for a fabulous family friendly holiday location and not looking for a 5 star resort, I would highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: The 2bd penthouse is incredible for families. Lots of space, roof top access, private pool and BBQ o...

We stayed one night at the Majorca Isle Resort. The booking was made on short notice and we needed to check in early in preparation for a wedding later in the day. Kaye at reception was most helpful in this regard and the room was ready hours before we anticipated. This is despite the hotel having been busy all weekend with very few vacancies. I cannot overstate how this gesture influenced our entire stay and made it all the more pleasant. The room was generously sized with two bedrooms and expansive ocean views from the 10th floor. The interior was brand new and spotless. It isn't a luxury apartment but has a fresh and clean vibe to it which is more important to us than having an oversized flat screen TV or a spa bath. Besides, the enviable position facing the beach would mean recreation is more likely to be had on the beach rather than indoors. However it is a lovely apartment to come back to after a day out. It compared much better than Catalina apartments next door (the rest of our friends were there) in terms of size and decor. For a short stay at Cotton Tree (Maroochydore) I would not hesitate to recommend this place for all the reasons above.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean-view room and tell Kaye you have heard she does a great job in accommodating guests...

We have just come back from a three night stay at Marjorca Isle. These units are older style but not budget as was previously stated. We stayed on the 7th floor and were amazed when we walked in at how spotlessly clean the unit was. We also had a beautiful view looking straight out to the beach. The main living area was nice and spacious. The feeling of the whole complex was one of an extremely well looked after resort.
It was also great to put the car away and only have a short walk to shops and restaurants and we were also right on the beach.

Stayed here for 7 nights in September.Older building ,but is very comfortable inside with ocean views which is only 100 metres away. The Surf club is good place for a beer as you overlook the ocean. The local RSL is 5 mins walk away with great meals, sports bar and live entertainment. The local shops are 100 metres from the hotel or 10 minute walk to the Sunshine Plaza.Overal a great place for the budget concious which is close to the beach and also has cafes and restaurants close by.

Room Tip: Ask for a ocean room from level 4 and above
