Excellent place to stay. Close to everything. Staff were very helpful. Would stay again any time.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 3rd floor over looking the pool. Excellent spot also to see the sea.

We are 6 ladies who decided to have a weekend away together at the beach, leaving the city far behind. Chateau Royale proved to be the perfect location. We shared a large, roomy, 3 bedroom unit with views of the coast from every room that simply took our breath away. This unit has recently been refurbished and it looked fantastic. Kitchen was great with everything we need. The pool area was clean and sparkling and we enjoyed the sauna, spa and the pool. Only regret was that we didn't have time to book into the day spa for a massage. We walked everywhere, the beach, the markets, the Plaza Shopping Centre, and to some great restaurants for breakfast and dinner. It was great to reconnect with friends this way and we will be back next year. This accommodation is highly recommended and thank you to the very friendly office staff.

Room Tip: As units are independently owned I would recommend you ask the manager when booking about units that...

We have stayed at Chateau Royale on a lot of occasions and don't think that you will find a more peaceful restful holiday. With all units facing north easterly you will have nice breezes and great views. No need to use your car as everything is in walking distance. The views are wonderful - seeing the winding Maroochy River and the beach. Great holiday for families or couples. The managers are so helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: C block has the most wonderful views

The units here are individually owned and furnished, so fit out will vary. We stay in a 3 bed unit in a high floor, which affords views from Mooloolaba to the south, Twin Waters to the north and west along the river to the mountains. It is the view and laid back lifestyle that keeps us coming back. The common areas are nice, although I agree the corridors do have a smell, I think from the garbage Shute in the refuse room; it would definitely pay to address that. I found the managers very helpful and they went out of their way to help during the recent flooding of the area that affected the building.

Great view from room 49 on level 10. close to shops, beaches etc. However there is no air conditioning in any rooms, just fans, which were noisey on any speed greater than the lowest. The hall way on level 10 stank, we had to hold our breath from the elevator to the room door. We told them about it but it was never fixed. It smelt like vomit. Lift no1 makes an uncomfortable grinding sound when it reaches the basement. If your stay is longer than 2 days you will need to go to woolies to stock up on toilet paper, soap, dishwasher liquid, salt & pepper etc. After paying nearly $1000.00 for a week, $20.00 for more of the above items would not break the bank to be included. Foxtel movies are only on the small TV in the bedroom. Generally the building is old and tired and needs money spent on it. Stay somewhere else.

Positive points about the hotel is location...near to beach and shops. However, the star rating, mind you, 4 stars doesn't fit in at all. Some kitchen appliances are in terrible state ( pan and electric wok ), meagre toiletries given, only bars of soap when you would expect at least the basic toiletries and at least just a small box of tissues from a 4-stars rated apartment. If ones come during summer, expect the rooms to be real humid despite the fans. There's one air cond only in living area. The mattress has worn out, definitely time to change. It ought to have one less star rating!!
