“Excellent value and location with attractive facilities and gardens.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2011

My wife and I have stayed at Trafalgar Towers over the last 15 years and never wanted to find alternative accommodation. The on- river location and proximity to restaurants, major shopping and beaches, together with access to attractive hinterland touring makes for a great holiday experience .Graham Toowoomba

Great views and location. The swimming pool and spa are divine. Shops located close by. Tennis court. We didn't get in the car the whole time we were there, which is the best holiday in my book!

My husband and I enjoyed three nights here. We were allocated 4D which is not the best location in the building as it is on the north western end and quite warm during the afternoon in the summer months. There was no airconditioning in this particular apartment but there were ceiling fans in the bedrooms. I believe there are airconditioned apartments available at extra cost. The view of the river was pleasant and views of the hinterland from a large enclosed patio across the rear of the apartment. I think the A, B & C units would have better views of the river. The apartment was very spacious with a large main bedroom and lovely renovated ensuite, a second bedroom with two single beds with very little room between, a nicely renovated main bathroom including washing machine and dryer. The kitchen was well equipped and living room spacious with comfortable lounge chairs and settee. Overall, the apartment was well suited to either a couple or family with two children. I wouldn't recommend it for two couples as the second bedroom is completely filled with the two beds.
The location is ideal. It took us five minutes to walk to Sunshine Plaza for shopping and there is a great restaurant (Lefty's) just a few minutes walk along Duporth Avenue. The Maroochydore surf beach is a short drive as is the Surf Club for excellent, reasonably priced meals. Trafalgar Towers has a new wet edge heated pool and spa, tennis court and marina for fishing and/or boating.
The windows, glass doors and insect screens could have been cleaner but apart from that the apartment was clean.

We had a lovely 3 day break at Trafalgar Towers and booked two apartments to cope with our extended family. We occupied 6d which had been stylishly refurbished & our daughters and grandchildren had the adjacent unit, 6c.
The "c" unit has fabulous views to the east and the patio extends the full width of the unit so that all rooms have direct access to it.
The bedrooms in the "c" are very generously sized and the bathroom is large. The kitchens in both units were excellent and are of the size found in a typical home.
The pool was sparkling and we were wishing we had a boat as the jetty is right there and the water very calm and clean.
It would be a perfect place for boaties to stay.
Our grandchildren are too small, but we decided that if we take older ones next trip it would be fun to hire the kayaks and explore the waterway.
The managers are extremely helpful and friendly and made every effort to ensure that we felt welcome.
The beach is a pleasant stroll of about 10 to 15 minutes away.
We would certainly stay here again.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 January 2007

We recently spent 11 nights at the Trafalgar Towers Apartments in Duporth Road, Maroochydore. The Towers are in a great location, right on the river, with it's own jetty (no roads to cross). Unfortunately though the building is by no means new although our apartment, 8D, had recently been refurbished with new carpet and paint (though I think my 11 yr old could have done a better job with the paint!) When I booked the aparmtent I was told it was a three bedroom apartment but on our arrival (and AFTER paying the balance) I discovered that the back balcony had been enclosed and a single bed put there hence the original 2bd apartment became a 3 bd apartment for which we were charged. And at $250.00 a night I thought this was outrageous considering you had to walk through the second bedroom with only 8 inches between the bed and the wall to get to the "3rd" bedroom. After discussing this with the manager she did waiver the kayak and tennis raquet hire fees from our bill at the end of our stay!! Though I would like to have thought all equipment was complimentary and that the kids didn't have to hunt high and low every evening for 2 x $1.00 coins so they could have a game of pool. Also beware of the three inch gap between the lift and the floor ..... my oldest son accidently dropped the car keys into this gap and we were charged a $220.00 maintenance fee to have them recovered. Overall though, the Towers are in a great location, with good security and parking. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the views across the rivers of the everchanging tides are wonderfull. I would recommend this accommodation BUT JUST make sure you know exactly what you are getting BEFORE you pay for it.
