“an unforgettable anniversary”
Reviewed 27 August 2014

Maroochydore is a hidden gem and M1 Resort is the jewel in the crown! Our family surprised us with a week’s accommodation at M1 Resort as an anniversary gift, and we were delighted to find a beautifully presented apartment with amazing water views, and the added bonus of close proximity to eateries, shopping centres and beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maroochydore and are in the process of canvassing the family for a return visit!!

We had a wonderful 10 day stay here. Everyone that we dealt with was very friendly and helpful.
The apartment was lovely, fresh, clean and spacious with a water view. Loved the spa bath in the ensuite and having an evening wine on the balcony. We used the lovely heated pool several times.
Easy and plenty of convenient parking underneath the building, however we didn't need to use the car much at all. Resort is in a great location, very handy and walking distance to everything - Sunshine Plaza/Cinemas, Cotton Tree, the Esplanade, beach/river, restaurants, RSL, Surf Club... I could go on. There was a very cool market on Ocean St Friday night with a buzzy vibe and a great choice of restaurants.
We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to family and friends. Thank you M1.

My family, my brother's family and his wife's parents spent our holidays staying at the m1 Resort at Maroochydore during August this year. We chose m1 Resort from the great reviews we have read on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed with the quality of accommodation.
We spent a week staying at this resort - we hired a car (they have lots of secure undercover parking) and did the usual activities like Eumundi Markets, Underwater World, Sunshine Plaza Shopping (it's only 5 Minutes walk from m1 and so close to just pop back and get that item you should have got yesterday). It was really nice to come back to a quiet resort and recover in a well presented and comfortable large and spacious apartment.
m1 Resort have HUGE apartments with a full sized kitchen and full sized appliances, a separate laundry, open plan kitchen and living area. Furnishings are modern and very tastefully presented (we had more than one apartment for our stay so they are all a bit different). These apartments are really huge!! The location is incredible no matter where you are. My main gripes when staying away are: a) the comfort of the bed; and b) the noise from neighbours. Nothing to worry about here. Beds were comfortable and the only time I realized I had neighbours next door was when we took the same lift up to our apartment.
We spent time in the outdoor heated pool; enjoyed the BBQ area a few times (fully gated outside area so secure for the kids). There was also a gym, library and games room which was great aswell. We travelled with our 4yo son and my mother shared the other bed in his room. As the apartment was so large, we all had our space as needed. Balcony was secure (which was a relief for anyone with someone with small children). We shopped nearby and bought food to reduce costs, Woolworths is 2 minutes away and open to 9pm. Reception staff were brilliant, the desk is not manned 24 hours a day but you can call the Duty Manager directly from your apartment 24/7 and ask for anything and they are onto it immediately. Definitely looking forward to staying here again!

I had taken my elderly parents for probably the last overseas trip of their lives. I wanted luxury accommodation for their stay. We were booked into room 207 for 8 nights. On entering the apartment, the first thing I always do is open every cupboard, draw etc to see that everything is in order. I tried to flush the toilet, it took two hands to attempt to flush - I called the maintenance man, and I was told "oh it just hasn't been used for a while". I opened a draw in the vanity unit under the sink in the second bathroom and to my horror found a pair of ladies soiled -blood stained underpants, along with a blood stain on the draw. There were also bloody coloured stains on the blanket on the main bed. The Dryer was so filthy, we couldn't use it. The oven had a baking tray still containing the food from someones cooking. There were dirty dishes in the cupboard. The light fitting over the second bedroom bed was broken. All these things were not acceptable to me. I tried to visit the reception area - there was never anyone there at the times I tried - it took 4 days until I could report these issues to someone. When the cleaners came they told me it really wasn't there fault - as they can't be expected to check everything. I did manage to $200.00 off my stay. But with having to deal with disposing of the soiled underpants myself I am not at all impressed with the standards of this place. You can hear people walking around on the floor above. The main thoroughfares were dirty. As much as the location of this building is great, I would never recommend staying here. (I do have photographic evidence of all this, but won't post)

Room Tip: Top floor, then you won't hear any noise from overhead.

We are 2 couples and booked in for 3 nights. Fantastic spacious apartment-main bedroom complete with walk in robe and Spa bathroom. 2nd bedroom equally light and airy with separate bathroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, spacious lounge room with comfortable couch, and large balcony.
The King size beds are extremely comfortable.
A few minor points were light globes needing to be replaced, a cracked coffee plunger and perhaps the worst, when I opened our wardrobe door, there was a half full glass of wine on one of the shelves! ! Perhaps, housekeeping need to be a little more diligent?
All in all, this was a delightful apartment with lovely views. It is very central to restaurants, the main shopping Centre and a great walk to the beach along the esplanade.
I would recommend this resort and would happily stay here again

We booked a 3 bedroom apartment at M1 to share with another couple. The apartment we got was 1103. The apartment is gorgeous, huge with high ceilings and windows facing east and south. There are ocean and river views. It has a huge master bedroom with walk in robe and ensuite with spa, a second bedroom with spa ensuite and a third bedroom with a bathroom across the hall. There is also a 4th toilet. It has a large kitchen and a laundry with a washer and dryer. There is a large balcony along 2 sides of the apartment. The location of M1 is brilliant, walking distance to Cottontree, Sunshine Plaza, lots of restaurants and the beach. The resort has a small gym, a lap pool and secure parking.
There were a few small areas that just let down the M1 for a resort in its price range and type. It has a large kitchen with dishwasher and oven to allow for self catering, but lacked some basic utensils such as a bottle opener, peeler, and small knife. There were no coathangers in any of the bedrooms and there was only one tiny kids hair dryer. For stays of 8 days or more they did a service of the apartment, but given most stays are a week long, a midstay service and change of towels would have been welcome.
We really enjoyed our stay at M1 resort, and if we returned to Maroochydore would definitely consider a return visit.

Room Tip: 1103 has amazing views, great for couples sharing with lots of living space and bedrooms with ensuit...

Be booked a room here to attend a nearby wedding. One night stays are difficult to find so it was slim pickings but the reviews were good and the location excellent.

We arrived at 5.20pm and found our room 604 easily. The rooms are very large and the views are nice ( although will be built out eventually). The location is good , although a lot of empty tenancy's surrounging which is sad to see.

We did comment initially that the furniture was in pretty bad shape and I believe this unit is on the market. The couch is absolutely filthy and the shower head in the ensuite broken. It was a very hot night and the aircon was struggling and when we rang management were told this was a 'known issue'.
Anyway we showered and changed and headed off to our wedding. When we returned just after midnight the room was like a sauna. There was little breeze and the windows in the bedrooms don't let any in anyway. No matter what we did to the a/c nothing worked and when we felt the springs through the mattress we decided to pack up and drive home.
We sent a text to management saying we had left so they had a time stamp and in the morning were sent an apology text and a request for our email so things could be 'dealt with'. Still waiting.

All up we spent about 2 hours in this room and that cost us $350.

I would suggest extreme caution when booking and make sure you ask for a room that does not have similar problems.

Thank you for your written feedback on Trip Advisor. I wrote to you on the Monday after your stay via email and apologised that the we could not get a tech to look at the AC so late on a Saturday night, it was not a known problem before you called us as we had guests in the apartment the night before. We have also offered you a free 2 night stay at m1 as this is not the normal experience of our guests. We have not heard back from you and we once again are very sorry for your experience however we will do everything to ensure that your next stay at m1 is brilliant!. We look forward to hearing from you.
