“Great Location, Friendly Staff”

We spent 3 nights in a unit. It was very basic but it was clean and comfortable. The location is great - just across from a lovely beach and a handy general store/cafe next door. There is a great communal outdoor kitchen and a nice little swimming pool.
Warren and Jenny are friendly and helpful.

Not a bad little park, sites are very slim but Warren happily cut back the bushes to give us more space. Lots of long stayers and regulars there when we visited but on the whole everyone was friendly. place is overpriced for what you get altho the 7th night free helps. Amenities didn't seem to be cleaned on a daily basis, in fact never smelt clean but at the same didn't look dirty either, on a couple of occasions however there was a very stale water smell. Pool was ok but needs sweeping around to remove dead leaves that then end up in the pool and chairs need replacing as they are all old and 'chalky'. This park could be excellent with a bit of TLC around the place.

Having recently had our second holiday at Newell Beach CP (this time without the van) I have to write about this special place. The unit we stayed in wasn't fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. The owners Warren and Jenny welcomed us with open arms and made our stay a real pleasure, making us feel as if we are part of their family. Their two children, Nikki and Rebecca are lively and loveable, and we enjoyed their company immensely. Thanks to Warren my husband caught a large fish , which made his holiday even more special. Most people come to this park for a short stay and end up extending as long as they can. The beach is across the road, and makes for a beautiful daily walk (and swim at the right time of the year). The small poll means you can go for a dip at the other times of the year. We will be back for a third visit as soon as possible.

Room Tip: the two bottom units get a beautiful sea breeze most of the time. For vans they only have a couple o...

We spent a week at this delightful park as the furthest north point of our journey. The hosts are great friendly people, helpful to the max and it creates the great mood of place. Hang out time on Saturdays is a great idea and we got to meet other travellers and share great stories. It is ideally located for heading north to the Daintree and beyond.

We were only going to stay for a couple of days, two months later.....it was comfy! Camp kitchen was a great way to meet people and have chats & laughs, etc, especially from overseas guests. We learnt a lot. So did they. Pool was fine, Park owns were lovely as were the kids. It was hard to leave. Home away from home. We liked it cause it was quiet and a good base to see everything else around without the high costs like Port Douglas and without the crowds during the On season. Met some lovely people here. Amenities were clean and the grounds fine. More like a natural bush setting. Plenty of shade and the birdlife is great. Beach across the road, my dogs loved. great place to stay at any time of the year. There is also suite accommodation available here too.

This is a great alternative to Port Douglas or Mossman. The unspoilt beach is just across the road the managers are super friendly, it is a small park though with some sites a little tight. 5 mins drive to Mossman or 15 to Port.

Nice camp site right across from Newell beach. We stayed in the wet season so it was quiet and we didn't swim at the beach but it looked lovely. the owners were very friendly. Nice pool and good facilities. All sites are powered and we thought it was great value for money.
