Over the June long weekend 5 of us had a girls weekend away in Stanthorpe with the intent of course to taste a drop or two of the local crops. Well we certainly did quite a few wineries, cheese place, raspberry farm, olive orchard, jam factory and lots more. You can do a lot in a long weekend as most of the wineries and farms are just off the main road and do a circuit around Stanthorpe. We stayed in a farm house called "Glen Robin" which had a couple of fire places and plenty of wood. It was quite cool but beautiful the only complaint in staying at the farm house was those 2 roosters that started at 3am and didn't stop until well into mid morning. That's all part of the experience so I suggest you may want to take some earplugs if that will bother you.
