Description: This is a passion for us. We are a winery, fine food restaurant and cottage accommodation. Much of our produce is locally sourced, including from our own vineyard, orchard, vegetable garden and herb garden. All of the wines are our own, from our own estate. We are now a private restaurant catering to our cottage guests but, depending on bookings, can sometimes also cater for other guests on Saturday evenings when we offer our degustation meal with live entertainment. We also cater for group lunches or dinners as well as functions by appointment only.

Fantastic food in an old homestead with great atmosphere and entertainment by John. Would recommend that everyone try this restaurant near Stanthorpe.

The house is warm and inviting and you hope for many a good thing to come upon arrival. Then I would suggest turning around and heading back and that is the best thing to be enjoyed here. The food on the night we went was a Degustation Menu - just the type of thing we enjoy usually. Unfortunately, the night we went was VERY disappointing. Cold, overcooked scallops; Fish so dry that it was tough; A concoction with egg and finger limes that simply did not work - and the list goes on. Also, to top it off, the owner/chef "entertains" at the end of his cooking evening by playing one of the many guitars he has. Whist his playing and singing are good, he simply takes over the entire room and further conversation and enjoying the company you are with is not possible.

Great food in beautiful surroundings. All 6 courses were fabulous. Delivered on quality with small portions, appropriate for a degustation menu. Licked the platters clean - not really, but could have. Relaxed, intimate evening by the fire. John and Denice do a fabulous job as a husband and wife team delivering everything from front of house service, to mastering the kitchen and providing entertainment with THAT guitar collection. We're not wine drinkers so skipped that option but neighboring tables taking that option were emptying the glasses with each course.

A delightful experience in the Granite Country with great food and wine and entertainment that was unexpected. Booked on advice from Information Centre for a fussy group who were all astonished at the degustation meal served by John and Denise. The after dinner entertainment from John( to avoid washing up!!) was excellent with his playing of a 1946 Gibson guitar the standout.

The food is seriously good and the wine tasty, but don't just come here for the amazing food and great wine. Come also for John's amazing collection of guitars, and if you're lucky he may even get a couple out and play a bit for you.

John and Denice recently were very kind when I asked for host a family birthday here, and went above and beyond to make the time special. Whiskey Gully is always worth a visit, especially at lunch/dinner time.
