“The perfect getaway”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 December 2013

Diamondvale is simply the best B & B we have even been to!
Your hosts Tony and Kerrin were amazing. They took care of every little detail on the property to ensure our stay was memorable. The lodge is wonderful place where a number of couples or families can stay to get away from it all in real comfort and luxury. Situated right on the creek.

If you go to Stanthorpe then don't worry about looking anywhere else. Diamondvale is the place to stay.

Best Regards, Dave

We had 3 nights @ tea tree cottage with my brother and his wife. This is such a special place where the welcome is as warm as the log fire. It was great being close to town yet with the bush serenity. The Bbq hut was the best. I'd call this 5 star camping.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this lovely review. It is wonderful to read about your love of the fireplaces and our BBQ hut. The hut is certainly a big hit all year round, with its lovely timber slab construction and rock wall fireplace, it really does make you feel like you've stepped back in time. We are so fortunate to be located on the banks of the creek, within a natural bush setting, but are so close to town!! This is the most talked about feature of our property - you feel like you are in the middle of the bush, but town is literally a "stones throw" away, no road noise here but all the convenience of a town location. Thank you again for letting the world know about our little gem on the Granite Belt. We really do hope to see you all again sometime and we really are so pleased to hear how much you loved your experience.

Bright yellow native daisies welcomed us down the driveway to Diamondvale B & B. The cottage was fully equipped and we could curl up on the leather couches for a read or move onto the verandah that overlooked Quart Pot Creek, with its birdlife. We saw visiting parrots, ducks and kookaburras. Feeling so relaxed on our holiday there, we ventured off exploring the stream further to discover large granite boulders and rock pools. The owners, Tony and Kerrin, are a very friendly and hospitable couple with a great knowledge of the area but once in our cottage everyone is well separated and very private. Truly a stunning summer stay!

Room Tip: We stayed in Tea Tree Cottage

Thank you so much for your kind review. We love to hear about how much you enjoyed the immediate surrounds of the cottages. There is so much to do in Stanthorpe, but sometimes the real pleasure is just soaking up the environment right at your doorstep. We are so fortunate to be located on Quart Pot Creek where native wildlife comes to drink and visitors can explore the rock pools or even walk to town following the well worn track along this natural watercourse. Summer is a time of vibrant wildflower displays and bountiful birdlife. The lack of humidity makes it a true treasure, as you can lap up the warmth of the days without that dense heat. Living in the mountains is certainly a beautiful existence, and it is always a pleasure to share this sanctuary with gracious travelers like yourselves. Thank you again for spreading the word about our little B&B in Stanthorpe. We really do hope to see you again.

Life affirming and serenity abound.... fantastic location where things were ideally centralised i.e. dairies, wineries, natural delights and beautiful rooms. Everything was thoughtfully provided (provisions for fireplace, entertainment, necessities) and the hosts were discreet but immediately attentive when we needed assistance. We were so reluctant to return to our working lives!! Diamondvale B & B Cottages certainly had character - unfortgettable experience. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We want to be repeat customers!!

Had 2 nights in one of the charming little cabins at Diamondvale over winter. Very comfortable accommodation with a great fireplace stocked with heaps of cut firewood. Lovely surroundings and helpful hosts. The breakfasts were great! We found heaps to do in the surrounding districts and would certainly go back again.

We are so pleased to hear that you loved our cottages and would come back to the region as there is so much to do. When some people think of coming to the Granite Belt they are not sure what they will do to keep themselves occupied, but once they have visited it becomes clear that there is so much to do that you will have to return to continue exploring the region and its many delights. We're glad you relished our generous supply of iron bark firewood, we know that burning logs in the fireplaces is a big highlight for many of our travellers. Thank you so much for taking time to post this review and letting others know of our little piece of paradise here at Diamondvale. We do look forward to seeing you both again soon. Best wishes for the festive season and the new year.

It's difficult when you book some place over the net..you never know what you might get in the real world! Well, I'm glad to say that Diamondvale didn't disappoint us. The day before we arrived we got a surprising call from Tony to ask if he could help us arrange any diner bookings / tours during our stay or if there was anything they could do to make our stay more comfortable!
We were warmly greeted when we arrived and shown to our lovely cottage which used to be a railway siding but had been cleverly transformed into a cosy and charming cottage. There were fresh flowers on the table and all the kitchen utensils you could need. Nothing was modern or brand new...just really well thought out and adding to the charm. It was freezing some days (-4) but we never felt the cold with our real wood fireplace going continuously with wood supplied. We only noticed the cold as we opened the door to a very wrapped up Kerrin when she brought us our delicious home cooked breakfasts every morning. We spent our days exploring the area as Diamondvale is close to town but also feels like it's far from everywhere. Most times we were also just as happy walking around Quart Pot Creek, feeding carrots to the horses or relaxing in the Pioneer Hut with a roaring fire and a cuppa. Tony & Kerrin were great hosts and always available for advice or a chat (but also discreet enough not to disturb you). When our friends are looking for a nice getaway we are always happy to recommend Diamondvale!

Thank you for your thoughtful words of praise! We are truly grateful for your kind reflections on your stay. It really is a wonderful experience for us to read detailed feedback about the highlights of your time at Diamondvale. We are especially pleased that you relished those little extra touches, like the fresh vase of flowers or the iron bark firewood, your time with the horses or soaking up our hospitality. It can be really daunting when selecting somewhere to stay to celebrate a special milestone, so we are equally excited to hear that we have been able to make the occasion of your anniversary a memorable one, for all the right reasons. Thank you so much for being our roaming ambassadors. Our best wishes to you both and we hope to see you again for a return visit to the region.
