“Diamondvale is like heaven on a stick”

We actually come from Stanthorpe and were lucky enough to have won two nights at Diamondvale. It was the perfect place for a "Staycation". Diamondvale is only two minutes from the centre of town, but feels like it's a million miles away from anywhere. It is surrounded by natural bushland, complete with reunning creek and native wildlife. I have never felt so relaxed. Tony and Kerrin are the perfect hosts- nothing is too hard; every effort is made to accommodate your wishes. The rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable, offerring absolute privacy- perfect for a romantic getaway. I never appreciated that such a beautiful retreat was hiding in my home town.

We escaped a fully packed schedule for a few wintry days in Stanthorpe and stumbled across Diamondvale (via a very friendly and informative tourist info office). It was exactly what we wished for: log fires, extremely comfortable beds, kitchen ready to go, close to town and all local attractions and lovely friendly hosts who gave us some great tips and lent us movies for the cold nights "at home". We have already been recommending the cabins to friends and we will definitely be back. Would love to see Stanthorpe in its spring glory. Thanks for the wonderful days Kerrin and Tony.

The most beautiful house, recently renovated with all mod cons in a gorgeous bush setting. We had a group of three "mature aged" couples for a long week-end of wine sampling in the local district and dining in the town.
Sitting around the chesterfield lounges at night, beside the fire and sampling the local wines was a wonderful experience. Morning walks along Quart Pot creek to the town about 20 minutes away were also a delight.
Best thing about the lodge is that up to 4 couples can stay together in luxury and have a great week end without having to use the car. Tony & Kerrin arranged all meals either in house or in town and a wonderful full day wine tour into teh bargain.
We'll be back next year !

We originally searched on line in the Stanthorpe area for somewhere to stay and came across Diamondvale B & B. It seemed to be what we desired and we were not let down. Kerrin was an excellent host who ensured we wanted for nothing. The cottage was so inviting with its beautiful decor and warming fire. Colourful parrots outside your door added to the country feel. The BBQ hut was a great place to meet and exchange experiences with other guests. If you need to relax away from it all, then this is the place to do it.

I told my husband I was going to go crazy if we didn't get away from our Business. On arriaval to departure we were in another world. Comfortable, Secure, our choice to do lots or nothing at all. We are so busy keeping busy in our everyday lives it was great to choose to go on the Wine Tour, out to Dinner or just stay in by the fire and eat soup. No need to travel this time to the national park the Heritage Trail was a must to start to unwind. Stanthorpe is easy to get around and for us to have a getaway after holidaying with our sons previously it was like a second honeymoon. This is truly a B and B not to be overlooked it was our first time staying in such intimate accommodation but I think we are converted as the "homely" feel could not be replicated as it is what makes this type of stay so unique. If you love animals - chickens and horses, If you love fireplaces and value your privacy this is the placed for you. I am not a frilly person so I was surprised that the tradition of a cottage suited me down to the ground - Never say never and try something different. We were so spoiled by Kerrin and Tony that I think it will be hard to find another B and B or short holiday stay that lives upto this one. This is the one we will always compare our short breaks to because it is now the first of many to come... Don't be surprised if we don't see you there ourselves... Want to try the lodge next and share it with the rest of our grown family. What you see on their web site is just a taste of what you can experience. Just looking at the pictures again brings back the memories and is a great way to explain what there is to choose from - our Special thanks for sharing your bit of paradise Kerrin and Tony - From Frank and Loris - Brisbane We didn't want to leave. 4 days just flew. Like many business owners we had so many reasons not to go and so many a reasons now to return. What's stopping you!!?

As the wife of the birthay boy (50th), Diamondvale Cottages was the absolutely perfect location for me to host his party. Our friends and family could easily be accomodated into the many different styles and setups of cottages. Private bathrooms, balconies and accesses made it a breeze to place couples and familes throughout the property.

The "slab" bush hut (really a luxurious fireside retreat) was the focal point for breakfasts, lunches, nibblies and dinners which the owners of the property kindly let us cater ourselves. There was plenty of space, tables, chairs, a large fridge, BBQ, urn and a very popular outdoor firepit (which was well stocked with wood). Self-catering (both food and alcohol) allowed us to cater for our guests who wished to visit the many local attractions as our "kitchen" was always open! It also allowed us to stick to our party budget as the nearby Woolworths and IGA provided most of our supplies. We also hired a portable coolroom from a local supplier. We just parked everything next to the "hut" and made it our centre of operations.

It was a wonderful idea to book out the whole property - we could come and go as we pleased and stay up as late into the night as we wished. The weather was perfect, the creek setting was just stunning and all of our guests remarked on their luxurious accomodation. We were only 2km from town but out in the bush! The owners of the property (Tony and Kerrin) and their staff couldn't hae been more helpful from the planning stage to the final packing up.

Having the party here made my experience so much easier - I actually got to enjoy myself as I didn't have to do so much running around and the atmosphere was so relaxing and comfortable.

I would recommend the cottages to anyone who was thinkng of hosting a birthday, anniversary, reunion or the like. The weekend was just perfect!
