We booked through the local visitor information centre in Mission Beach and we were given their brochure so we sort of knew what we were going to. When we arrived the host came out and greeted us, took us to this drop dead beautiful room called dragonfly and into a land of peace and serenity. The brochure doesn't do it justice. There is a guest room at the rear of the main house ( they don't share your space by the way) which has a stereo, games, books on the region, dining area, BBQ and small kitchen. There is a full size fridge which you share with 1 other room and there is everything there to cook your own dinner if you want. We purchased a BBQ pack from them and cooked that up and it was superb. The fish was fresh and lovely and the stir fry vegies were fresh and plentiful. Great value. There is a fabulous pool with a cabanna and pool toilet so you don't have to run inside. It is in a rural setting with cows and horses in view, cane cutting was under way so the cute little trains pass right across the front. They are on 3 acres. Great spot, we kicked ourselves that we had booked a night down the coast and had to leave. The tropical breakfast filled us, homemade yoghurt!! and freshly cut up fruit salad. fabulous, don;t miss it . It's 8klm North of Tully and the same from EL ARISH. Check out the pub there.
