Excellent, felt really at ease and totally safe at all times with professional guide Doug, as I hadn't attempted kayaking before. Wonderful scenery and interesting bush interpretation. Would definitely recommend.

“True authentic Aboriginal experience”
Reviewed 19 January 2014

Searching for a (non hyper tourist) tour for a guided walk and learn about the traditions of the orignal people of Australia, we booked the Ingan Yunba tour. Also recommended in lonely planet, we were excited to go. And all our expectations came true. First we had a warm welcome of the tour guides and during the car trip to our destination, we were told about the region, the amazing happinings and the history of Tully and surroundings. During the walk we were told about the way the Aborignal people used to live and when we arrived at the creek, we gradly took some of the home made lunch (wich was to die for). As we sat around the campfire more stories were told and we were invited to ask as much as possible. Because of the time the tour guides took for everybody, they almost lost track of time. The group was about 10 people and that was also very nice. The price/quality was excellent and we recommend everybody to book this unique tour!

“5/5 such a great tour”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

We did the kayak tour down Bulgan creek and had an amazing time. The rainforest scenery was beautiful and the rapids were relatively easy to navigate through. Doug, our tour guide, was friendly and an expert at teaching us the basics of reading water and kayaking. He also taught my group a bit about local Indigenous culture, which I found really interesting.

I would love to go back and do it again.

“Superb Tour”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

The trip was awesome, myself and 3 mates were led down the river by Doug who was a great tour guide. Not only does Doug know the land and waterways expertly but he makes the tour fun as well. The trip did take some time, near on 3/4 of the day due to low level water but it an amazing time was had the entire tour. Kayaking was easy to learn and you'll pick it up in no time.

During the trip there a points where you can swim in the crystal clear water and at lunch they provide some great tasting damper.

All in all a highly recommend this tour, the only negative thing was that the water was too low for some rapids.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 3 January 2014

Spent New Years Eve Day kayaking the Bulgun River with Doug which was just ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! It wast a great way to spend a NYE, enjoying the beautiful surrounds and having frequent swims in crystal clear fresh water. We learned about some of the local flora and how these were used by the Indigenous people of the area as well as some techniques for navigating the water-ways of the Bulgun. Doug was just an amazing host, we couldn't have asked for more! and his beautiful wife Soni. We could not recommend this trip enough. Thanks very much Doug for your understanding and making the day so special. Wishing you both the best for 2014! Jo, David and Jack
