Takes you through the discovery of the dinosaurs around the Winton area and explains their history. In the collection room you see the restored skeletons of three dinosaurs that have been located in the area. The videos in the collection room explain a lot about the dinosaurs and we found it all very interesting. We did not go to the dig sites which would require a three hour visit instead on 1.5 hours.

Thank you JASTOWNSVILLE for your review. I am so glad you found your experience interesting! The third section of the tour you missed is Dinosaur Canyon. At Dinosaur Canyon life-sized bronze dinosaurs and flying reptiles give visitors the opportunity to see how the fossilised material (encountered during their first two tours) have been scientifically-interpreted through a series of outdoor exhibits. I hope that you return soon to see this part of the experience. Happy travels!

Just 24k from Winton this attraction is one not to be missed. There are 3 tours included and each was well presented and enjoyed by all ages on our tour. The guides are all very enthusiastic and their information is first class and we were able to not only view but touch the exhibits. Umbrellas were also provided to shade us on the third leg of the tour much needed on a hot day, along with free water bottle refills.

This is well worth the visit. See some amazing discoveries about the age of dinosaurs in Australia. Still an infant museum but is growing daily. Do not miss this.
