I like cottages that don't aim to be like a magazine but focus on creating a home form your own home. Allumbah is just that. The cottages offer a romantic , rustic and comfortable escape in the middle of the small town.

Whether you want movies, a fire and the country air or a relaxing spa and warm bed the cottage offers it all.

I can't speak highly of the staff either , Rob went above an beyond to ensure I was accommodated post 10pm on check in and had a long list of potential activities to do the next day.

If you are undecided on a motor inn or a little more cash for this you wont regret the price difference. This place will add years to your life

We recently spent 2 nights at the Allumbah Pocket Cottages and thoroughly loved it. The cottages are spacious and well appointed (with kitchenettes), and the garden and common areas are delightful. Rob, our host, was very helpful and offered restaurant advice along with a happy hour glass of wine. Yungaburra is a charming little town and the Allumbah Pocket Cottages are a great lodging choice.

Rob and Melanie were great hosts. Happy hour wine, great facilities and nothing too much trouble. We had 5 wonderful nights there and would definately recommend. The location is terrific and we were lucky to see platypus in the nearby creek.

Our stay was only a short one (1 night) but we really loved everything about it... The host was very friendly and helpful and the cottages were really cosy and well appointed. They gave a real sense of privacy and I can't recommend them highly enough! Worth a visit without a doubt.

Room Tip: Alll cottages appeared very similar and had great privacy, I didn't hear anything overnight.

These are very nicely appointed self-contained, heritage themed cottages, in a great location in Yungaburra. Roadworks on the Gillies Highway made getting there more frustrating than it needed to be, but once we were there we quickly forgot about those. We had a wonderful one night stay, with a slight potential for an issue as the hot water stopped working, but it was so well dealt with that it ended up reflecting positively. The package we booked came with all the necessary ingredients for a country cooked breakfast, all locally sourced, as well as local cheese and chocolates and a big vase full of roses, and a bottle of wine. All very well done.

Well-appointed cozy private cottage in a great location for exploring Tablelands or just a quiet stay listening to the birds and rain. Central in Yungaburra, walking distance to Platypus viewing platform, shops and restaurants. Lovely hosts. Highly recommended!
