We spent 2 days in Pioneer Cottage and loved every minute of it. There was nothing lacking in this cottage, beautifully decorated and themed. We decided to stay in for our dinners enjoying as much of the atmosphere as we could. Very well equipped for this with a BBQ just outside the door.

The fire was fabulous and snuggled up in a lovely rug with the fire and the free port carafe. What more could you ask for.
The bed was extremely comfortable and warm.

The birds visited us every day and loved the tit bits that we had. Lovely to sit on the verandah and share breakfast with them.

A truly wonderful experience. John was very helpful and we would certainly come back again.

Room Tip: Pioneer cottage is rustic in theme but luxurious in nature.

We just spent two nights in the beach cottage and had a wonderful stay! Our cottage was immaculate, and had everything you needed to be self-sufficient, and the owners were friendly and welcoming. Sitting on the deck and watching the birds and wildlife was a highlight. It's a short drive to shops and restaurants, and a short walk to the lake. Very reasonably priced in comparison to other places in the region and I thought the cottages exceeded our expectations based on the pics in the website. Very enjoyable stay!

A wonderful little cabin in the rainforest. A balcony to watch all the birds some of which will eat right off your hand!! A deep awesome double spa to relax in and a very comfy king size bed. A bit dark inside but you are in the rainforest. John and Jenny very friendly welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble including doing 2 lots of our laundry as the washing machine was broken. Very impressed and grateful!! This is an awesome spot to make your base in the Tablelands. If you love bird watching make sure you drive around the back roads and farmland and I guarantee you will see heaps of magnificent birds of prey etc as we did. Highly recommend this place and even though it rained a lot while we were there which is unusual for this time of year we still had an amazing time and the area is stunningly beautiful and green.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Boathouse cabin but any of the 4 cabins onsite would be wonderful.

We just spent 8 peaceful days in the Bali cottage. What a wonderful experience! John and Jenny were perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. As our flight was slightly delayed we arrived at 8:30pm with very few supplies and greatly appreciated the beautiful complimentary breakfast hamper. The cottage was lovely… well decorated, extremely comfortable and well equipped and offered complete privacy. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the absolute peace and tranquility ensured that our sleep quality was brilliant.

It was lovely to wake up to the sounds of the rainforest birds every morning, and to sit on the veranda taking in the ambience of the World Heritage rainforest. It was cool at night and we greatly enjoyed the log fire.

The cottages are just a short walk away from Lake Eacham and the circuit walk around the lake was lovely.

We were fortunate enough to witness the Victoria's Riflebird do his display almost every day on our verandah which was such a treat, and were visited by a large variety of birds throughout the day.

Our overall experience was excellent! We will be back and are very much looking forward to our next visit!

Where else can you look out on a lawn grazed by a forest kangaroo and her baby and watch Victoria riflebirds from your verandah? Three days was simply not enough time to explore our surroundings but we did our best. John and Jenny were excellent hosts. The cottage (seaside cottage) was charming and very well equipped. Perhaps we will make it back there one day.

Room Tip: All of the cottages are decorated according to a theme.

Amazing place! We stayed 3 nights in Pioneer and Tuscany and had a fantastic time. The cottages are very comfortable, clean, well equiped and in a top location. The wildlife around the cottages is incredible and the owner was very helpful. Very good value for money - I would love to go back.
