“Amazing night away”
Reviewed 22 July 2014 via mobile

My husband and I live In cairns and could only get away from work for one night so we spent amazing Saturday night at mt quincan in treehouse number 2. We travelled from cairns and stopped at the wonderful IGA supermarket in Atherton in the way to buy nibblies and a roast for the BBQ at Mt Quincan so we didn't have to miss a moment at our cabin. Cabin 2 overlooks the valley and the view was spectacular. The cabin gets the morning sun which was lovely and even though we didn't see a tree kangaroo this didn't matter as three possums joined us after dinner on the balcony. They ate slices of apples out of our hands and then ate honey on bread. I'd recommend buying some extra apples to take with you when you visit. The walk down into the crater was lovely and took a little over thirty minutes late in the afternoon. The fire in the cabin was my husband's favourite feature especially the way it turned around to face the bedroom or the lounge area. The spa was great and the port and chocolates and roses were the icing on the cake. Everything was provided and we were warm cosy and relaxed. We will definitely be back to spend another weekend with the possums before the end of winter. We topped off our weekend with a wander through the huge second hand bookshop I yungaburra on the way home. Heaven

Hubby and i stayed 2 nights at Mt Quican treehouse, we needed to get away from the busy lifestyle and we certainly did that. I have not relaxed like this for many years, i wish we could have stayed longer!
Kerry and Barb were lovely and great genuine people, very helpful :)
I refer Mt Quincan to anyone who would like to experience tranquility and relaxation!
The treehouse was gorgeous and loved the fire, the breakfast's supplied were delicious also!
This place is a massive credit to Kerry and Barb.
Cheers Karen & Brett Rodger

Room Tip: Any treehouse would be spectacular

Just returned from a 5 night stay at Mt Quincan. Treehouse No4 Kamala was perfect for us as we were seeking a complete recharge of our batteries, total seclusion, some wildlife interaction and pampering delights. We were not disappointed at all. The cabins are well thought out with everything required to make the stay a treat. Spa bath for two, BBQ, all kitchen equipment including coffee plunger. There were some very welcome extras: flowers, chocolates, port, muffins with cream and jam and the log fire was fabulous and romantic on a couple of cold nights - all nice touches. We had visits from the tree kangeroos, brush turkey's and pademelons and the bird song was fabulous. Would definately recommend ordering a hamper or two to save leaving the cabin. The privacy policy is appreciated and the hosts very welcoming and helpful. Thanks Dennis and Louise for your great service. We had an awesome time and will be back when a recharge is necessary. Biggest tip I can give is take provisions for a BBQ on your arrival with a nice bottle of red and enjoy the ambiance of your first night.

Room Tip: We were told Kamala No4 was best for wildlife and were not disappointed but I think all the cabins h...

We were after peace, quiet, luxury, relaxing and pampering and Mt Quincan offered just that. There is very little that has not been considered making the stay absolutely effortless. In hindsight I would take advantage of the dinner hampers offered or take something to BBQ with me so that you really do not have to leave your retreat at all once you get there. We only stayed for 2 nights but even that was sufficient to recharge the batteries, enjoy the property and see some wildlife including the resident brush turkeys and pademelons, 2am possum visitors on the balcony and a beautiful tree kangaroo right outside our window. Also the price is right for the amazing value and experience you get.

Thanks Dennis and Louise for providing superb service during our 3 day escape. Mt Quincan is truly a special place. We loved the zest you have for the property and the wildlife and rainforest that are found in the surrounds are truly amazing especially the tree kangaroos. The recommendation for Flynns restaurant was also great.

Look forward to seeing you again soon at Mt Quincan

Steve and Nicole.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the crater provide a real sense of seclusion

What a beautiful peaceful spot this is. Everything has been thought of and the welcome basket of goodies and all the food in the fridge was wonderful. The scones with jam and cream on arrival were just delicious and just what we needed. The awesome double spa situated by the window was incredible. Watching the birds and the sunset and sipping champagne..bliss!! We really hoped to see some tree kangaroos and on our 2nd day we were rewarded. We got back to our treehouse at 4pm and right outside were mum and her baby eating in the tree!!! They eventually climbed down and did a couple of wonderful jumps and gave us lots of wonderful photos to treasure. The walk around the crater there was just great and we saw rainbow bee eaters catching moths and dragonflies for their breakfast. We saw the tiniest frogs ever too and they were only the size of a fingernail!!! Highly recommend this place for any romantic celebration or special get away.

Room Tip: Choose treehouse number 4 as you have the best chance of seeing a tree kangaroo there.
