“Beautiful Coorong escape”
Reviewed 12 February 2018 for a stay in February 2018

10 minutes from Meningie & a world away from the hustle & bustle. Wendy & Dean have thought of everything. Lovely home looking out on the Coorong with a great bush garden full of paths to secret spots, a frog pond & abundant bird life. You can pick fresh from the herb garden to compliment something delicious that you whip up in the well appointed kitchen. The shore is just across the road for a walk by the water. It doesn’t matter what the weather is like, you can just relax and enjoy the view from outside, or inside through the floor to ceiling windows. We wished it could have been cool enough to light the wood stove. The touches like the guest to guest share baskets, and complimentary seeds from the garden just top it off (along with the bubbly and chocolates!)

Lovely position on the Coorong. Peaceful place to look at birds, go for walks, kayak in boats provided, read the many books, cook in lovely kitchen.
Elegant, comfortable, spotless and extremely well thought out accommodation.

A beautifully comfortable and well equipped house that soon feels more like a home in a tranquil setting just a few tens of yards from the water's edge and overlooking the Younghusband peninsula. An ideal spot to explore the lovely and little known coastal wilderness that is the Coorong. The owners, Wendy and Dean, who live in their own home to the rear of the property, are friendly and welcoming but also considerate people who do not intrude on either your precious holiday time or your privacy. In short, a wonderful place to spend time........ and as a bonus we even got to see the iconic wedge-tailed eagle just a few kilometres down the road.

“Very Comfortable”
Reviewed 18 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Yep, a very comfortable house.

Wonderfully quiet with a lovely view from the lounge room, along with pelicans in unison, skimming the water in search for a meal.

Enjoyed the Wood Fire (which was all set to go) and the ample breakfast provisions.
The BBQ got a good work-out too!

Thanks Wendy, we’re only sorry we couldn’t stay longer.

“Luxury in the Wilderness”

Wendy and Dean seem to have done everything they can to make this a very well appointed 3 bedroom house on the edge of the lagoon in the Coorong. Just about everything you could want is here from electric blanket and wood stove to parasol; comprehensive kitchen equipment (except maybe a simple hand juicer mould!); lots of info on the area and things to do; books, telescope on tripod, washing machine etc, barbeque and herb garden. We had a lovely short stay of 2 nights (we didn't have any more time) - very easy to make yourself at home.

“A great place to stay”
Reviewed 21 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We were immediately impressed by the location with its uninterrupted view across the water to the sandhills of the Younghusband Peninsula.
The place was well-equipped, suitably-furnished, very well maintained and immaculately clean.
We liked the raised boardwalks, native plants, and birdlife which could be appreciated from virtually all rooms.
The invitation to pick vegetables from the rear garden was appreciated too.
