My mother in law was visiting and we decided to treat her for brunch and were thoroughly surprised by the quality of the brunch.

Croissant French toast!!! Can you hear it? The angels on high are singing! The flavor was amazing with only drawback was that it was soaking in its in juices so depending on how long it sat there it may be a little juicier.

Multiple salads, breads, fruit, salmon, etc. Too many good things to name.

The desserts by far are the best with my favorite being the chocolate covered strawberries.

In short:
1. Classy decor including remnants of "The Globe" grain elevator.
2. Expensive.
3. Great wine selection and recently recognized by "Wine Spectator"
4. Buffet is very well done although I cannot say much on their normal entrees.

We were in town for the Blues fest and decided to give Maxwells a try based on the other reviews on TripAdvisor. It is located in a strip mall so from the outside it didn't make much of an impression, but once we got inside we were greeted by warmly decorated and comfortable restaurant. The menu is not big but full of many tempting choices. We ordered the tomato bisque soup which was outstanding, the escargot which was ok, and the White Wine Poached Skuna Bay Salmon with Bell Peppers, Purple Thai Rice, and Artichoke-Caper Cream Sauce which was one of the best salmon dishes we have had anywhere. Wine selection was very good and the service was professional and just right. We will definitely go back again the next time we are in town.

We celebrated our anniversary at Maxwell's and had wonderful evening. All the food--appetizer, salads, entrees--was beautifully presented and delicious. The escargot appetizer had a wonderful garlic, basil, and butter sauce. Both the lobster fettuccine and the wild salmon were excellent. The food is far richer than our ordinary fare so we had no room for desert! Although the décor is a little heavy and dark, we will definitely think about returning on another special occasion.

Seriously, one of the best meals you will have in the FM area. Prices range anywhere from $25-$40 per entree and it's more than worth every penny. The service is always prompt and knowledgeable. If there is even the slightest hint of dissatisfaction, management and servers bend over backwards to make your experience a good one. I recommend the elk steak. Sunday brunch is wonderful as well. The menu will vary to utilize seasonal options.

Always good-with innovative food. Is pricey but worth it for such good quality food and spirits. Wait staff are well trained and very knowledgeable. This is my special teat stop over when travelling.
