“Good home cooking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014 via mobile

I had read some good reviews for this place during my research about where to eat in Fargo. They were correct. I had the salmon loaf which was one of the daily specials and some knoephla soup. It's a potato dumpling soup that I'd never heard of but it was awesome. Also had some sour cream raisin pie. Everybody in our group was happy with their food.

“Good food, fast service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

We stopped here for lunch and though it was very busy, the service was very fast. Our sever was very friendly. We both tried a sandwich and pie, both were good.

“Good food and price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 May 2014

The food was good and the price was right you will not leave wanting more. The Pie selection looked great but was unable to try this trip will have to stop in and see another time.
The atmosphere was wonderful and the general appearance was what I would expect.

“Good home cooking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 March 2014

We've eaten here many times. Great memorabilia on the walls. Very laid back casual atmosphere. Food is plain good home cooking. If you go, you must have a piece of pie. Only open Monday through Friday. You'll very likely see some of the local movers-and-shakers in for breakfast and/or coffee.

“It was good enough for Tom Hanks, it's good enough for us.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2013

In West Fargo, a favorite winter sport is breakfast at TNT. They have great portions at a good price, with some nice staff who are quick with the coffee (we always eat breakfast there). The food is very good, which brings to mind a story from a couple years back.

It seems Tom Hanks, the famous actor, arrived in Fargo early one morning on a private jet at Fargo's Hector Field. The flights often, as in this case, come here to clear customs because it's easier to enter the USA at an airport this size rather than one of the big ones like Minneapolis (quick service). Mel Gibson, KISS, and a whole flock of other folks have shown up at odd hours of the night walking around on the ramp stretching their legs while the jet gets serviced.

While the plane was being refuelled and after clearing customs, apparently the question was asked if there was a good, old-fashioned diner where a person could get breakfast this early in the morning (it was something like 4:30am as I recall). The folks at the Fargo Jet Center recommended the TNT, so off Hanks and his troop went to have breakfast--much earlier than the place usually opened. One of the folks at the Jet Center, from what I remember, called up the owner of TNT beforehand and asked if they could open a little early for a special visitor.

The visit made the newspaper. Tom Hanks liked his meal and visited with the help there that early in the morning. And, of course, after reading about it in the paper everyone in town had to run over to TNT to have breakfast.
