“Tapas to Die For”
Reviewed 30 July 2013

Just by chance I searched Huddersfiled for somewhere different to eat and came across the listing for the Clothiers Arms and was quite surprised at the ecellent reviews, especially for the Tapas. Tried to book for Friday and was told full so booked for Saturday. Good buzz in the pub and restaurant area, excellent welcome by both the Landlord and the waiting staff who took us through the menu and specials and even told us they felt we ordered too much. He was right as we never cleared the 6 dishes. Portions were excellent, service first class and every Tapas dish we had was fantastic...especially the Belly Pork and Sea Bass Fishcake!!! All washed down with a very reasonably prices 2010 McGuigans Sauvignon Blanc at only £13.95. Settled up and met the creator of the great food so was able to compliment the chef directly. We have now booked for their Steak night on a Wednesday...watch this space..

“"Superb Tapas"”
Reviewed 20 July 2013

It had been years since I last went to the clothiers and friends had been saying for a while that I must try the Tapas there. Little had changed in the bar of this traditional pub but tucked behind it was an intimate, charming, dinning area. Helped by the friendly young staff we chose a selection of Tapas and ordered a bottle of house rose. Out came this steady flow of the most delicious, tempting and beautifully presented food. It was served in a relaxed and unobtrusive manor and empty plates removed at just the right moment, no feeling of being rushed. We have a number of places serving Tapas in the area and I have to say this has to be the best, not only for quality but service and value for money too (the portions are very generous). Furthermore, the house wine was really good and at aprox £13 a bottle we just had to have another! Thank you, it was a great evening and I can't wait to take my family when they come to visit. Very tempted to try the steak night too.

“Great food, great atmosphere & great service”
Reviewed 3 July 2013

Fantastic food at this restaurant, wonderful Tapas on a Saturday night (we are going to go back for Steak Night on a Wednesday) beautifully set out for dining, little alcoves with a Mediterranean theme candles and rustic tables, relaxing for couples or great with friends.
The Landlord & Landlady and all the staff were great, there is a lovely decking area where you can laze in the sun with the excellent real ales.
