The staff was very friendly & helpful ....When checking in we were given hot homemade oatmeal raisin cookies that my husband loved. Our room was very clean and the beds were real comfortable. The property was beautiful and well kept...It was really easy to find and close to a lot of the places we were planning on visiting. I would defiantly stay again.

This is one of our favorite places to stay. We stay at least 3 times a year and have never been disappointed. This is my girls favorite place to go because they have so much for them to do . The breakfast is ok but have seen better, the rooms are comfortable and the prices are reasonable. Location is close to everything in the area

Let me start with the good things, and advice since I have stayed here multiple times. If you have kids, do NOT stay in the new suites--- they are in a different building, the farthest point from the pool, movie theatre, and outdoor games and village. Because the dining room is really small and you'll find no place to sit, you'll have to go to this area at breakfast time and gather all the things your family wants to eat-- this is not a huge problem unless you are in this other building and have to trek out and across the hill and back carrying two bowls of cereal and three cups of milk- not fun. Advice: go out for breakfast. There may be some noise issues in this "new" section, we were awakened at 4:30 in the morning by what sounded like a herd of antelope running down the stairs beside our suite.

Also, there are never any special deals or coupons for those of us who travel here and stay often, which is really just the hotel realizing there is nowhere else nice to stay and that's not very nice. But it's true, the hotel is really nice and clean for this area and has fun stuff for kids.

Room Tip: Don't plan on eating breakfast here, plus you shouldn't anyway! You're in Amish country...

Overall we were very satisfied: our room was spacious and comfortable; check in & check out was quick and easy; the small movie theater was a nice treat as well.
We encountered a problem, however, with the internet connection (intermittent) and cell phone reception. We were told that Verizon has the only tower in the area.
Also, be patient at breakfast. The area where the waffle irons and toasters are located is a small alcove that gets easily crowded.

We have stayed here several times now and have been pleased. And they added things for the kids cute little play houses. The breakfast was good. Beautiful grounds and close to town and a great bakery/ farm to we love to go to!

Room Tip: Get a room facing the pond/ waterfall area

Stayed here last summer. Ditto on all the other good reviews. Nice, spacious room with balcony overlooking the grounds. Grounds also include a fish pond with fish food to feed the fish. The grounds are spacious and has good space for sunning, throwing a football, or just sitting in the grass. The cookies at check-in were a nice touch and were awfully good. The only reason I did not rate "excellent" is that from what I remember, there were not many amenities such as room service and when I stayed, they were re-doing the lobby/breakfast area. But that did not affect my stay. The hotel is very close to everything in Berlin.

I agree with other reviewers singing the praises of this resort in the heart of Amish Ohio. Beautiful grounds, beautiful buildings, professional staff, convenient location to all the sights, etc.
A word of advise to new guests: the lobby is on the second floor. First floor rooms are downstairs and there is only one elevator located at one end of the main building. So if you have issues climbing stairs, request something above the first floor.
We were greeted at check-in by a professional and who treated us to a warm, fresh, local, homemade cookie. Our two double bed room with private balcony overlooking the beautifully landscaped grounds was very clean and spacious. With one exception. The bathroom water-closet/tub room is tiny. One must straddle the toilet to close the door.
The room rate is very reasonable considering the amenities provided. The only thing that could make this deal much better is an in-room microwave to go along with the refrigerator. To be able to warm leftovers, tea water, etc., in the privacy of your room instead of the one central microwave near the lobby would be a great perk.
The 4th star in this review was earned by a kind lady working the desk this morning. Originally my brother was told he would have to change rooms if we extended our stay beyond the original dates. This young lady over ruled that decision and no move was required.
We will be sure to book here every time we are in the area.
