We arrived fairly late in the evening and all was well with the reservation, getting our room key and checking in. We had booked with the special price for CAA members (AAA in the US), but the fellow on duty wouldn't take off the discount because he claimed the discount was already off on the booking. However, at other Wyndham hotels we stayed in this holiday, all of them took the discount off when we checked in, no questions asked. They saw our card and that was enough.

When we arrived at the room, it smelled of a combination of smoking and air freshener, even though it was deemed a non-smoking room.

This motel is showing its age, the room furniture and bed are old, the bathroom fittings although clean, are outdated and in need of upgrading. Low flush toilets recommended in this day and age of water conservation.

The mattress was uncomfortable and the bed only had 3 dinky pillows. Not even an excuse for a pillow, really. The bed linens were clean, but very sparse - a threadbare blanket and the overcover was a bit grotty.

It's close enough to the I-75 that the noise of the trucks at night can be disturbing. We were tired and slept so-so.

The bath towels are threadbare, and could use updating and replacing.

In the morning, as we walked into the breakfast area we greeted the two ladies on the desk. Neither of them acknowledged our greeting, and one continued to text on her phone and completely ignored us. The other one eventually said hello. Maybe these folks aren't aware that they are there to serve their customers?? Breakfast was simple. Nothing hot at all, not even waffles (we don't eat them, but some people do). We ate quickly and headed out, decidedly disappointed in the quality of this Days Inn.

We won't be staying here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back away from the I-75.

My daughter and her cheer team stayed there when they had a state cheerleading competiton at Bowling Green. The athletic director asked one of the managers if the rooms had indoor encloser before he booked the rooms and they told him that the inn did have indoor encloser even though it didn't. When the girls got into the room, one room did not have a lock and a chair was shoved up against one of the doors to keep it shut. Most of the rooms did not have a latch at the top of their door, and the room appeared to be broken in before. Another girl looked at her sheets to find blood stains all over her sheets. The room was an overall disaster and the girls were scared to stay there and did not get much sleep before their big State Competition.

Room Tip: not safe, don't stay here. not safe for kids especially
